| Product Overview | The rotary drum microfilter is a mechanical filtration unit for reducing suspended solids in pretreated livestock wastewater. Water passes through fine filter media mounted around a rotating drum, while retained particles are removed by an automatic backwash system. It can be integrated into a commercial pig farm wastewater treatment line for effluent polishing or to protect downstream filtration equipment. | Working Principle | Pretreated wastewater enters the drum and flows through the filter media. Suspended solids remain on the inner surface while filtrate passes into the surrounding collection area. As retained solids increase the water level, a sensor initiates drum rotation and backwashing. Spray water dislodges the solids into a collection trough for discharge through the reject connection. The filtration and cleaning sequence is controlled according to the selected equipment configuration. |
