Product Overview This integrated system is configured to treat manure-derived wastewater from commercial pig farms and other livestock operations. It combines pretreatment, solid-liquid separation, downstream treatment and water polishing according to the incoming wastewater and intended reuse. Recovered solids and nutrient-bearing streams can be directed to the farm's manure management plan, while treated water can be stored for an approved reuse application.
Key Features
  • Staged treatment helps protect downstream equipment from coarse solids and fluctuating farm effluent loads.
  • Modular equipment arrangement can connect with existing manure collection pits, separators, treatment tanks and reuse piping.
  • Separate handling routes can be planned for recovered solids, nutrient-rich residuals and reclaimed water.
  • Pumps, valves, access points and controls can be arranged for practical operation and maintenance at a working livestock site.
  • Equipment enclosure or a dedicated steel structure building can be planned according to local climate and farm conditions.
Structural Components A project configuration may include an influent receiving and equalization tank, transfer pumps, a manure screen or screw press, chemical dosing and clarification where required, biological treatment or other selected treatment stages, filtration or membrane polishing, disinfection, reclaimed-water storage, sludge handling, pipework and an electrical control panel. The final process train is selected after reviewing wastewater samples and the required outlet quality.
Working Principle Collected livestock effluent first enters a receiving or equalization stage. Screening and separation remove coarse fibrous material and suspended solids. Subsequent treatment reduces the remaining organic load and nutrients as specified by the project design. A selected polishing and disinfection stage prepares the water for its designated reuse route. Residual solids and concentrated streams are collected for appropriate storage, further treatment or beneficial use.
Technical Specifications
  • Feedstock: Pig farm wastewater, livestock manure effluent or pre-separated liquid, subject to testing.
  • Treatment capacity: Customizable according to daily flow and peak loading.
  • Process configuration: According to influent characteristics and project requirements.
  • Target water quality: Defined by the intended reuse and applicable local standards.
  • Equipment materials, power supply and control level: Available upon request.
  • Footprint and building requirements: Designed according to local climate and farm conditions.
Applications Suitable for commercial pig farm construction and renovation projects, breeding farms, integrated livestock operations and agricultural wastewater treatment facilities. Possible reuse routes include barn flushing, equipment washing or irrigation where the treated water meets the specific quality, biosecurity and regulatory requirements for that use. Water intended for animal drinking requires a separate assessment and appropriate treatment.
Customization Options SHEWUYOU can develop a layout around the farm's animal population, wastewater volume, collection method, existing civil works and available installation area. Options may include skid-mounted process modules, outdoor tanks, enclosed treatment rooms, steel structure building integration, remote monitoring interfaces and tie-ins to existing manure separation equipment. Final selections are confirmed during engineering review.
Installation & Maintenance Installation planning covers the foundation and drainage, influent and outlet connections, electrical supply, chemical storage where applicable, service access and safe routes for removing separated solids. Commissioning should include equipment checks, process adjustment and water-quality testing. Routine maintenance may include screen cleaning, pump and valve inspection, instrument calibration, consumable replacement and management of treatment residuals.
Product FAQ

Can the system connect to an existing pig farm manure line?
Yes. The connection arrangement is designed after reviewing the existing collection pits, separators, pipe elevations and flow pattern.

Is one treatment process suitable for every farm?
No. Influent testing, target reuse quality and local requirements determine the necessary treatment stages.

What information is needed for a proposal?
Please provide daily and peak wastewater flow, available water analysis, intended reuse, site layout, climate conditions and details of existing treatment equipment.
