Welding Workshop

Livestock Equipment Welding Workshop

The SHEWUYOU welding workshop produces and assembles metal structures and components used in livestock housing, feeding, handling and farm transport equipment.

Welding quality affects product dimensions, structural stability, installation and long-term performance. Components are therefore prepared, positioned and joined according to confirmed drawings, dimensions and product requirements.

Welding methods, joint designs and inspection requirements vary according to the product structure, material, thickness and intended farm application.

Workshop Overview

Factory Location Guantao County, Handan, Hebei, China
Main Activities Component preparation, positioning, welding, cleaning, correction and inspection
Common Structures Frames, gates, pens, stalls, crates, brackets, carts and equipment supports
Product Applications Pig, cattle, sheep, goat and poultry farming equipment
Order Types Standard products, batch orders, project equipment and selected customized products

Welding Workflow

STEP 01 Drawing Review Product dimensions, materials, joints, connection points and assembly requirements are reviewed.
STEP 02 Component Preparation Cut, formed or machined components are checked and prepared for positioning.
STEP 03 Positioning Components are placed and aligned using measurements, fixtures or positioning tools as applicable.
STEP 04 Tack Welding Components are temporarily secured and the assembly dimensions are checked before final welding.
STEP 05 Final Welding Required joints are welded according to the product structure and applicable process requirements.
STEP 06 Cleaning and Finishing Welded areas are cleaned and treated according to the product’s appearance and subsequent finishing requirements.
STEP 07 Dimension Check Key dimensions, alignment, connection positions and overall shape are checked.
STEP 08 Transfer to Next Process Accepted components move to finishing, assembly, inspection or packaging as required.

Component Preparation

Reliable welding begins before the first joint is made. Components must meet the required dimensions and fit together correctly before welding.

Preparation activities may include:

  • Confirming material type and component identification
  • Checking cut lengths, angles, holes and formed sections
  • Removing contaminants from relevant joint areas
  • Confirming joint locations and connection methods
  • Checking fixtures and positioning references
  • Separating components according to product or order

Positioning and Dimensional Control

Livestock equipment often includes frames, gates, partitions, mounting points and connecting components that must align during final assembly and farm installation.

During positioning and welding, relevant dimensions may include:

  • Overall length, width and height
  • Diagonal dimensions and frame alignment
  • Hole and bracket positions
  • Gate, hinge and locking locations
  • Clearance between moving components
  • Connections to feeders, drinkers, floors or supporting structures
  • Dimensions required for packaging and transport

Welding Process Selection

The welding process is selected according to the product’s material, thickness, joint design, structure, appearance and intended use.

Product-specific requirements are confirmed before production. Customized welding or inspection requirements should be provided during the quotation and technical-confirmation stage.

Products and Welded Structures

Pig Housing Equipment Farrowing crates, nursery pens, gestation stalls, gates, partitions and supporting frames
Feeding Equipment Feeder bodies, troughs, brackets, supporting structures and equipment frames
Cattle and Sheep Equipment Gates, panels, fencing, headlocks, handling structures and feeding equipment
Farm Transport Equipment Feed carts, carcass carts, utility carts, frames, handles and supporting components
Poultry Equipment Inspection trolley frames, equipment supports, brackets and selected metal structures
Customized Structures Selected products evaluated from drawings, samples, dimensions or functional requirements

Welding Quality Inspection

Welding inspection requirements depend on the product and agreed specifications. Inspection may cover both the welded joint and the dimensions of the completed structure.

Typical inspection points may include:

  • Correct component and joint locations
  • Continuity and general appearance of required welds
  • Visible cracks, incomplete joints or obvious surface defects
  • Product dimensions and structural alignment
  • Deformation affecting assembly or installation
  • Sharp projections or unfinished areas requiring treatment
  • Hinge, bracket and connection positions
  • Conformity with the approved sample or drawing where applicable

Specialized inspection or testing requirements must be agreed before production and may require separate arrangements.

Control of Welding Deformation

Heat generated during welding can affect the shape and dimensions of metal structures. Product sequence, positioning, fixtures and intermediate checks are therefore selected according to the component.

Where necessary, dimensions and alignment are checked before, during and after welding so that the product can proceed correctly to assembly and installation.

Customized Welding Projects

SHEWUYOU can evaluate selected customized metal livestock equipment according to customer drawings, samples or application requirements.

Customers should provide:

  1. Product drawings or clear reference photos
  2. Required overall and connection dimensions
  3. Material and thickness requirements
  4. Expected load or operating conditions, if relevant
  5. Surface-treatment requirements
  6. Installation and connection methods
  7. Estimated order quantity
  8. Applicable inspection or testing requirements

Workshop Safety

Welding operations involve heat, electricity, sparks, fumes, compressed gases and material handling. Workshop personnel and visitors must follow applicable safety requirements.

  • Use appropriate welding and personal protective equipment
  • Maintain ventilation and organized work areas
  • Control access to active welding locations
  • Separate flammable materials from hot-work areas
  • Inspect welding equipment, cables and connections
  • Handle components and gas cylinders according to safety requirements
  • Maintain fire-prevention and emergency-response equipment
  • Require visitors to remain with an authorized guide

Welding for Practical Livestock Equipment

Clear drawings, correct positioning, appropriate welding processes and dimensional inspection help create metal structures suitable for assembly, installation and daily farm use.
