Product Overview

The Submersible Jet Aerator for Livestock Wastewater is intended for simultaneous oxygen transfer and liquid circulation in farm wastewater treatment tanks. A submerged pump drives wastewater through a jet injector, drawing air from above the liquid surface and discharging an air-water mixture below the surface. The directed jet helps distribute oxygen and keep the tank contents moving.

It can be specified for commercial pig farm wastewater projects, including equalization, pre-aeration and biological treatment stages. Equipment selection depends on wastewater characteristics, tank geometry, operating water level and the treatment process.

Key Features
  • Combines aeration and mixing in one submerged assembly.
  • Produces a directed underwater jet suited to planned circulation patterns.
  • Self-aspirating configurations can draw ambient air through an air intake pipe without a separate aeration blower, subject to the selected design.
  • Submerged operation reduces exposed spray and supports a compact equipment layout.
  • Multiple units can be positioned to suit larger or irregular tanks.
Structural Components

A typical assembly includes a submersible motor and pump, impeller and casing, jet nozzle, venturi mixing section, diffuser or discharge outlet, air intake pipe, power cable, and a base or mounting arrangement. Seal design, wetted materials and lifting hardware are selected according to the wastewater and installation conditions.

Working Principle

The submerged pump accelerates wastewater through the nozzle. The resulting low-pressure zone draws air down the intake pipe into the jet injector. Air and liquid mix before leaving the outlet as a forceful underwater stream. The jet circulates the wastewater while rising bubbles transfer oxygen into the liquid.

Technical Specifications
Motor power and electrical supply According to project requirements
Air intake and oxygen transfer Available upon request after process review
Operating water depth According to the selected model and tank design
Materials and corrosion protection Customizable for wastewater conditions
Mounting arrangement Base-mounted or retrievable arrangement, subject to design
Applications
  • Pig farm wastewater equalization and pre-aeration tanks.
  • Aerobic treatment tanks downstream of manure solids separation.
  • Livestock wastewater treatment facilities requiring both circulation and oxygen supply.
  • Retrofit projects where the available space for above-ground aeration equipment is limited.

Incoming manure slurry should be assessed for fibrous solids and grit before equipment selection; upstream screening or separation may be required.

Customization Options

Unit quantity, jet orientation, motor specification, cable length, wetted materials, mounting method and control requirements can be reviewed against the tank layout and treatment objectives. The final selection can be designed according to local climate and farm conditions.

Installation & Maintenance

Position the aerator to support circulation without directing the jet into a nearby wall or tank fitting. Keep the air inlet above the maximum operating water level, and provide safe access to the electrical connection and lifting point. Where a retrievable mounting arrangement is specified, the unit can be raised for inspection.

Routine checks should cover the air intake, impeller and nozzle for blockage, along with the cable, seals, fasteners and motor protection system. Maintenance intervals depend on wastewater loading and operating hours.

Product FAQ

Does the aerator need a separate blower?
A self-aspirating configuration draws air through its intake pipe. Confirm the applicable water depth and required oxygen supply during model selection.

Can it be used with raw pig manure slurry?
The solids content, fibers and grit must be reviewed first. Screening or solid-liquid separation may be needed upstream.

What information is needed for selection?
Provide tank dimensions, operating water depth, wastewater flow, treatment stage, available power supply and relevant wastewater test results.
