| Product Name | Lamella Clarifier for Livestock Wastewater |

| Product Overview | The lamella clarifier uses inclined settling plates to separate settleable suspended solids from livestock wastewater within a compact footprint. It can form part of a treatment line for commercial pig farms and other livestock facilities, particularly after screening, manure separation or equalization. Clarified water exits through an overflow, while collected sludge is directed to a hopper for removal and further handling. The unit can also serve as a clarification stage after biological or chemical treatment when the process design calls for it. |
| Key Features |
|
| Structural Components | A typical assembly comprises an inlet chamber or distribution baffle, inclined lamella plate packs, a supporting tank or frame, a clarified-water collection trough or overflow weir, a sludge hopper, and sludge discharge connections. Access points, a sludge pump, valves and a flocculation stage may be specified where required by the process. |
| Working Principle | Pretreated wastewater enters the inlet zone and is distributed beneath the inclined plates. As water rises through the plate channels, settleable particles contact the plate surfaces and slide downward into the sludge hopper. Clarified water is collected at the top and flows to the next treatment stage. Where fine or slow-settling particles are present, upstream coagulation and flocculation may improve settling, subject to wastewater testing. |

|
| Applications | Suitable for the liquid fraction of pig manure wastewater after coarse solids removal, livestock-house washdown water following appropriate pretreatment, and clarification within integrated farm wastewater treatment systems. It can be positioned before biological treatment or used to separate biological sludge after treatment, depending on the process design. It is not a substitute for screening large fibers, removing dissolved pollutants or completing all stages of wastewater treatment. |
| Customization Options | Plate-pack arrangement, tank construction, corrosion protection, access provisions, inlet and outlet orientation, sludge withdrawal method, and integration with pumps or chemical conditioning can be customized. Supporting steelwork and equipment placement can be designed around the pig farm construction layout, available service area, local climate and farm conditions. |
| Installation & Maintenance | Install the unit on a suitable level foundation with access for inspection, sludge withdrawal and plate-pack cleaning. Coordinate pipe elevations, overflow routing, electrical connections for auxiliary equipment, and support loads with the treatment plant and steel structure building design. During operation, inspect the inlet and overflow for blockages, remove accumulated sludge at the specified interval, and clean plates when fouling affects flow distribution or clarification. |
