Product Overview The Modular Dairy Farm Wastewater Treatment System is designed for commercial dairy operations seeking a practical way to manage manure slurry, recover separated solids and improve the quality of water sent to storage or further treatment. The equipment can be arranged in a compact modular enclosure or an equipment area within a farm building. Its process layout is selected around the farm's collection method, existing separators, available space and intended use of the treated effluent.
Key Features
  • Modular equipment layout supports phased installation and future expansion.
  • Can connect to flush, scrape or vacuum manure collection systems, subject to feed characteristics.
  • Combines solids handling, liquid transfer and automated controls in a coordinated process.
  • Can work with an existing primary separator or a project-specific pretreatment stage.
  • Accessible equipment arrangement helps operators inspect, clean and service key components.
  • Enclosure, ventilation and weather protection can be designed for local climate and farm conditions.
Structural Components A project configuration may include a feed pump and inlet manifold, coarse-solids separator, fine-solids treatment stage, dewatering equipment, solids conveyor, effluent tank or outlet connection, process piping, valves, sensors and control cabinet. Selected components can be mounted within a modular housing or incorporated into a steel structure farm building. The final equipment list is determined by wastewater testing and the required treatment objective.
Working Principle Collected dairy manure slurry is pumped to the treatment line. Primary separation removes larger fibers and coarse solids. Where finer suspended solids must be captured, the liquid passes through a selected conditioning and secondary separation stage. Separated material is discharged for suitable downstream handling, while the treated liquid is directed to storage, additional treatment or an approved farm reuse application. Pumps and process controls coordinate flow between stages.
Technical Specifications
  • Treatment capacity: According to project requirements.
  • Feed type: Dairy manure slurry or separated dairy wastewater; suitability confirmed by feed analysis.
  • Process stages: Customizable according to influent solids and effluent objectives.
  • Equipment dimensions and enclosure: Available upon request.
  • Power supply and controls: Designed according to project requirements.
  • Effluent quality: Project-specific and subject to influent conditions, process selection and commissioning results.
Applications Suitable for dairy barn manure management, flush-water treatment, lagoon pretreatment, digestate solids separation and farm wastewater upgrades. Related livestock applications, including commercial pig farms, can be assessed separately because slurry composition and treatment requirements vary by site.
Customization Options The process arrangement, separator selection, pump duty, piping interfaces, control functions, corrosion-resistant materials and enclosure layout can be customized. Share the herd size, daily wastewater volume, manure collection method, available footprint, local climate and intended effluent destination to support equipment selection.
Installation & Maintenance Install the modules on a prepared, load-bearing foundation with planned inlet, outlet, drainage and electrical connections. Allow safe access around pumps, screens, dewatering equipment and the control cabinet. Routine maintenance includes checking screen surfaces, removing accumulated solids, inspecting pumps and seals, cleaning sensors and verifying control alarms. The maintenance schedule depends on the selected equipment and operating conditions.
Product FAQ

Can the system connect to an existing manure separator?
Yes. The connection and downstream treatment stages can be designed around compatible existing equipment after a site assessment.

Can treated water be reused on the farm?
Potential uses depend on achieved water quality, the proposed application and local requirements. Reuse targets should be defined during process design.

What information is needed for a quotation?
Provide the daily flow, representative wastewater analysis, manure collection method, site layout, power supply and treatment or reuse objectives.
