| Product Overview | The Reclaimed Water UV Disinfection System is designed for the final disinfection stage of a livestock wastewater treatment and recycling line. Installed after suitable biological treatment, clarification and filtration, it exposes flowing water to ultraviolet light before the water enters a reclaimed-water storage or distribution system. The system can be configured for commercial pig farms, livestock complexes and agricultural projects where treated water is intended for approved non-potable uses. System selection depends on the actual effluent quality, required flow and local reuse standard. | ||||||||||||
| Key Features |
|
||||||||||||
| Structural Components | A typical system comprises a UV treatment chamber, UV lamps, protective quartz sleeves, lamp drivers, a control panel, inlet and outlet connections, and service access points. Depending on the design, UV sensors, flow instrumentation, automatic sleeve cleaning, isolation valves and a bypass arrangement can be included. Final materials and component selection are subject to the approved equipment design. | ||||||||||||
| Working Principle | Filtered effluent passes through the UV chamber, where ultraviolet light acts on microorganisms in the flowing water. Effective treatment requires the specified UV dose to be maintained across the operating flow range. Suspended solids, fouled quartz sleeves and low ultraviolet transmittance can reduce performance, so upstream treatment and routine monitoring are essential. UV provides no lasting disinfectant residual in downstream tanks or pipework; storage and distribution hygiene must be considered in the overall reuse design. | ||||||||||||

| Applications | Final-stage treatment of filtered effluent from pig farm wastewater plants; non-potable reclaimed water for permitted washdown, landscape irrigation or agricultural irrigation; and water recycling systems serving livestock facilities or associated service areas. Each intended use requires confirmation against applicable water quality and public health requirements. Water for animal drinking or other higher-risk uses requires a separately designed and verified treatment process. | ||||||||||||
| Customization Options | Chamber layout, treatment capacity, parallel units, instrumentation, control interface, sleeve cleaning and connection details can be specified to suit the treatment train. Equipment placement can be coordinated with the pump room, pipe supports and steel structure building layout. Enclosure protection and installation details are designed according to local climate and farm conditions. | ||||||||||||
| Installation & Maintenance | Install the chamber downstream of the specified filtration stage on a stable base or engineered support, with sufficient clearance for lamp and sleeve removal. Provide isolation and drainage points for safe maintenance. Operators should check alarms and sensor readings, clean sleeves as required, replace lamps according to the selected equipment instructions, and verify treated-water quality under the farm's monitoring program. | ||||||||||||
