Product Overview The Skid-Mounted Farm Water Reuse System is a compact treatment package for reclaiming previously treated livestock wastewater. Installed downstream of a suitable farm wastewater treatment process, it combines pumping, filtration and a project-selected disinfection stage to supply water for approved non-potable uses. The modular layout can be incorporated into new pig farm construction or added to an existing treatment area.

Structural Components A typical arrangement includes a structural skid frame, feed or booster pump, inlet protection, filtration unit, disinfection module, interconnecting pipework, isolation valves, instruments and control panel. Treated-water storage, distribution pumps and additional treatment modules can be specified separately. Frame materials, component protection and enclosure design are selected for the installation environment.
Working Principle Effluent from the farm's upstream treatment plant enters the skid and passes through a selected filter to reduce remaining suspended particles. A disinfection stage, such as UV where the water quality is suitable, provides an additional treatment barrier. The reclaimed water is then directed to a designated non-potable storage tank or distribution network. Filter cleaning, monitoring and any further treatment are configured according to the project requirements.

Applications Potential applications at commercial pig farms and other livestock facilities include landscape irrigation, suitable agricultural irrigation, equipment or yard cleaning, and other approved non-potable services. Each use must be assessed against the treated-water quality, exposure risks and applicable local requirements. Reclaimed wastewater is not intended for animal drinking systems without a separately designed and validated treatment process.
Customization Options Available options include filter type, automatic cleaning, UV disinfection, supplementary treatment, pump redundancy, instrumentation, remote monitoring, weather protection and connections to an existing reclaimed-water tank. The skid footprint and service clearances can be coordinated with a steel structure building or dedicated farm utility room.
Installation & Maintenance Position the skid on a level, load-bearing foundation with safe access for operators. Connect the upstream treated-effluent line, reclaimed-water outlet, drain, electrical supply and any control signals according to the approved layout. Commissioning should verify flow, pressure, filter operation and disinfection performance. Routine maintenance depends on the selected components and may include filter cleaning, pump and valve checks, instrument inspection and UV lamp servicing.

Can the skid treat raw pig manure slurry?
No. Raw slurry requires appropriate upstream separation and wastewater treatment before a water reuse skid is specified.

Is UV disinfection always suitable?
Suitability depends on the upstream effluent quality, including turbidity and UV transmittance. Additional filtration or another treatment approach may be required.

What information is needed for a proposal?
Provide the source-water analysis, required flow, intended reuse, site layout, power supply and applicable local water quality requirements.
