| Working Principle |
Feed enters the conveying circuit from a silo outlet, feed hopper or controlled inlet. The electric drive rotates the drive wheel, which pulls the continuous chain through the closed conveying pipe. Carrier discs attached to the chain move the feed through the pipe and around specially designed corner units. As the feed passes predetermined discharge points, it is directed into volumetric dispensers, automatic feeders, intermediate bins or other feeding equipment. A terminal feed sensor can detect when the final feeder or dispenser has received sufficient feed. The controller then stops the conveying circuit, helping prevent unnecessary operation and overfilling. For centralized livestock complexes, high-capacity versions can transfer bulk feed from one or more main silos to several pig houses, providing an efficient connection between external feed storage and internal feeding lines. |
