Product Overview

The Nursery Pen with Integrated Liquid Feeding Wall is a modular pig housing solution designed for weaned piglets and nursery-stage pigs in modern commercial swine production. The system combines pen partitions, a liquid feeding wall, integrated feed downpipes and a hygienic trough into one coordinated structure.

Compared with separately installed pen walls and feeding equipment, the integrated concept simplifies the feeding area and allows liquid feed pipelines to be routed directly to the trough. Properly designed downpipe geometry helps maintain reliable feed discharge and supports fast distribution during feeding cycles.

The nursery pen can be combined with automatic liquid feed preparation and distribution equipment, plastic slatted flooring, drinking systems, heating equipment and environmental control systems. Modular construction makes it suitable for new steel-structure pig houses, prefabricated livestock buildings and renovation of existing nursery facilities.

  • Access Gate: Allows efficient animal movement, inspection, sorting and cleaning.
  • Flooring System: Plastic slatted flooring or project-specific nursery flooring can be integrated with the pen layout.
  • Water Supply Equipment: Nipple drinkers or drinking cups can be positioned according to pen capacity and farm requirements.
  • Liquid Feed Pipeline: Connects the feeding wall to the central mixing, pumping and distribution system.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

Liquid feed is prepared in a centralized mixing system according to the farm's selected feed formulation. A pump transports the prepared feed through the main distribution pipeline to individual nursery pens.

At each feeding location, liquid feed passes through the integrated downpipe and is discharged directly into the trough. A direct-flow layout can reduce unnecessary fittings around the outlet and help maintain reliable feed movement.

Piglets consume feed simultaneously along the trough. Where required, feeding-space separators can be installed to organize access and reduce competition around individual eating positions.

After each feeding cycle, the liquid feeding system can be operated according to the selected cleaning, rinsing and hygiene program. The pen and trough surfaces are designed for convenient washing between production batches.
