| Working Principle |
The valve is installed below the normal water level. A remote float connected by a nylon cord rises and falls with the water surface.
When livestock consumption causes the water level to drop, the float moves downward and opens the pilot valve. This changes the hydraulic pressure across the main diaphragm, causing the main valve to open and allowing a high volume of water to enter the trough.
As the trough refills, the float rises. The pilot valve closes, pressure is restored across the diaphragm and the main valve closes progressively. The controlled closing action helps minimize sudden hydraulic shock in the farm water-supply line.
