Product Name High-Flow Multi-Mount Water Level Valve
Product Image High-Flow Multi-Mount Water Level Valve
Product Overview The High-Flow Multi-Mount Water Level Valve is designed for automatic filling and water-level control in livestock drinking troughs, water storage tanks and agricultural water systems. Its pilot-operated diaphragm structure provides high water delivery capacity while maintaining compact dimensions and reliable shut-off performance.

Multiple mounting configurations allow the valve to be installed from the top, side or bottom of a compatible trough or tank. This flexibility makes it particularly suitable for commercial pig farms, livestock buildings, steel structure farm projects and centralized water-supply installations where trough dimensions and piping layouts vary between projects.
Key Features
  • High-flow design for rapid replenishment of livestock drinking troughs and storage tanks.
  • Top, side and bottom mounting configurations provide flexibility for different tank structures.
  • Suitable for horizontal or vertical valve installation according to piping layout.
  • Pilot-operated diaphragm mechanism provides efficient flow control with relatively low float operating force.
  • Compact construction saves installation space around troughs and water tanks.
  • Corrosion-resistant polymer components are suitable for humid livestock-house environments.
  • Gradual shut-off helps minimize pressure shock and water hammer in farm water lines.
  • Float position can be adjusted to set the required water level.
  • Mechanical operation requires no electricity, sensor or electronic controller.
  • Suitable for new farm construction and water-system renovation projects.
Structural Components
  • Valve Body: Robust corrosion-resistant engineering polymer construction for agricultural environments.
  • Main Diaphragm: Controls the primary water flow according to the pressure condition created by the pilot mechanism.
  • Pilot Valve: Mechanically activated by float movement to control the main diaphragm valve.
  • Float Assembly: Detects changes in trough water level and provides automatic mechanical actuation.
  • Adjustable Float Arm: Allows practical adjustment of the target water level.
  • Inlet Tail: Available in different connection sizes and configurations according to project requirements.
  • Internal Filter: Helps reduce the entry of larger contaminants into the control mechanism.
  • Fasteners and Hardware: Corrosion-resistant metal components used at key mechanical connection points.
Working Principle When animals consume water and the trough level falls, the float moves downward and opens a small pilot valve. The resulting pressure change activates the main diaphragm and allows a high volume of water to enter the trough.

As the water level rises, the float returns toward its preset position. The pilot valve closes, pressure is balanced across the diaphragm, and the main inlet gradually shuts off. This pilot-assisted principle enables high flow capacity without requiring a large conventional float arm.

Installation & Maintenance
  • Select top, side or bottom mounting according to the trough design and local plumbing requirements.
  • Install the valve securely and ensure the float has sufficient clearance for unrestricted movement.
  • Flush new water lines before connection to prevent construction debris from entering the valve.
  • Select suitable pipe diameter and pressure regulation according to required peak flow.
  • Adjust the float position to establish the required operating water level.
  • Check connections for leakage after pressurizing the system.
  • Inspect and clean the internal filter periodically where water contains sediment.
  • Check the diaphragm, seals, float mechanism and mounting hardware during routine farm maintenance.
  • Protect exposed valves and water lines against freezing where required by local climate conditions.
  • Top-entry installations intended to provide an air gap should be designed according to applicable local backflow-prevention regulations.
Product FAQ Q: Why is this valve suitable for high-demand livestock watering?
A: The pilot-operated diaphragm structure allows substantially higher flow than many conventional small mechanical float valves, helping troughs recover quickly during periods of heavy animal water consumption.

Q: Can the valve be mounted in different positions?
A: Yes. Depending on the trough or tank structure, compatible configurations can be installed from the top, side or bottom and can operate in horizontal or vertical orientations.

Q: Is it suitable for commercial pig farms?
A: Yes. It is suitable for high-demand watering points, livestock water tanks and auxiliary water systems in sow, nursery and finishing facilities when correctly sized for the farm water-supply system.

Q: Does it require electricity?
A: No. The float, pilot valve and diaphragm operate mechanically and hydraulically using the water supply pressure.

Q: Which inlet sizes are available?
A: Reference configurations include 1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1-1/4" connections. Final sizes and thread standards should be confirmed when ordering.

Q: Can it reduce water hammer?
A: The diaphragm design closes progressively rather than stopping the full flow abruptly, helping reduce pressure shock in properly designed farm water systems.

Q: Can it be supplied for international farm projects?
A: Yes. Connection standards, mounting arrangements and related accessories can be configured according to project requirements and destination-market specifications.
