Product Name Diaphragm Pig Water Level Valve
Product Image Diaphragm Pig Water Level Valve
Product Overview The Diaphragm Pig Water Level Valve is a mechanical water-control component for maintaining a stable water level in pig drinking troughs. Its diaphragm-operated design automatically controls water replenishment without electrical control equipment, helping provide continuous access to drinking water while reducing overflow and unnecessary water loss.

It is suitable for new pig farm construction and renovation projects, including farrowing houses, gestation units, nursery facilities and finishing barns. The valve can be integrated with stainless steel troughs, water pipes and mounting systems according to the pig house layout.
Key Features
  • Diaphragm-operated automatic water level control.
  • Maintains a consistent water level inside livestock drinking troughs.
  • No electrical control, sensor or complex automation system required.
  • Few moving components for simple operation and routine servicing.
  • Helps reduce trough overflow and unnecessary drinking-water waste.
  • Suitable for intensive commercial pig production environments.
  • Compatible with different pipe layouts and trough installation arrangements.
  • Replaceable diaphragm and service components simplify maintenance.
Structural Components
  • Valve Housing: Protects the internal regulating mechanism during daily farm operation.
  • Flexible Diaphragm: Controls opening and closing of the incoming water supply.
  • Water Inlet Connection: Designed for connection with the pig house drinking-water pipeline.
  • Outlet Pipe: Transfers regulated water from the valve toward the drinking trough.
  • Closure Plug: Available for unused inlet positions on dual-inlet configurations.
  • Mounting Hardware: Brackets and pipe clamps can be configured for pen panels, walls or steel structures.
Working Principle The valve uses a flexible diaphragm to regulate water flow automatically. When the water level in the connected trough decreases, the diaphragm mechanism allows additional water to enter. As the required water level is restored, the mechanism closes the inlet again.

This mechanical operating principle provides automatic water replenishment without electrical power and is particularly suitable for continuous livestock drinking-water systems.

Installation & Maintenance
  • Install a suitable pre-filter upstream to reduce debris entering the diaphragm mechanism.
  • Secure the valve and water pipe firmly to the wall, pen panel or structural member.
  • A typical vertical pipe distance between valve and trough is approximately 80–200 cm, subject to the selected configuration.
  • Position the water discharge point away from the feed outlet where practical to improve hygiene.
  • Flush and clean drinking-water pipes regularly to limit sediment and contamination.
  • Inspect the diaphragm periodically and replace worn components when necessary.
  • Confirm water pressure, connection size and installation height before commissioning.
Project Cases Typical project configurations include diaphragm water level valves installed with stainless steel sow troughs in farrowing houses, centralized water pipelines in gestation barns, and customized drinking-water systems for new steel structure pig farm projects.

Valve quantity, pipe length, mounting position and trough configuration can be planned according to pen layout, pig capacity and the farm's water-supply design.
Product FAQ Does the valve require electricity?
No. The diaphragm mechanism operates mechanically and does not require an electrical controller.

Can it maintain water in a sow trough automatically?
Yes. The valve is designed to replenish water automatically as the trough level falls and stop the supply after the required level is restored.

Can the installation arrangement be customized?
Yes. Pipe length, inlet orientation, mounting brackets and trough integration can be customized according to project requirements.

Is a water filter recommended?
Yes. An upstream pre-filter is recommended to help protect the diaphragm and improve long-term reliability.

Are replacement parts available?
Diaphragms and related service components are available upon request.
