Product Name TMR Mixer Wagon with Straw Blower
Product Image straw blower turbine for livestock bedding
Product Overview The TMR Mixer Wagon with Straw Blower combines Total Mixed Ration preparation, livestock feed distribution and straw bedding in one tractor-trailed machine.

A vertical auger cuts and blends silage, hay, straw, concentrates, minerals and supplementary ingredients into a homogeneous ration. The integrated straw-blowing system can then process and distribute bedding material into cubicles, pens and deep-litter areas.

By integrating feeding and bedding operations, the machine can reduce equipment changes, tractor movements and routine labor on commercial dairy and beef cattle farms.
Key Features
  • Combines TMR mixing, feed distribution and straw bedding in one machine.
  • Single vertical auger provides efficient forage cutting and homogeneous ration mixing.
  • Front-mounted mechanically driven straw blower supports high-capacity bedding operations.
  • Reference straw throwing distance up to approximately 25 m under suitable operating conditions.
  • Hydraulically controlled blower chute directs bedding material into different livestock areas.
  • Two side discharge doors provide controlled TMR distribution along feed alleys.
  • Compact trailed configuration is suitable for livestock buildings with limited access.
  • Wear-resistant auger knives process long-fiber forage and straw.
  • Optional dust-control system can moisten straw during spreading.
  • Electronic weighing and ration-management options are available upon request.
Structural Components
  • Mixing Tub: Reinforced steel chamber for processing complete livestock rations and bedding straw.
  • Vertical Auger: Lifts, cuts and continuously circulates forage and supplementary ingredients.
  • Auger Knives: Replaceable cutting blades for silage, hay, straw and other fibrous materials.
  • Restrictor Blades: Increase cutting action when long forage requires additional processing.
  • Straw Blower Turbine: Accelerates processed straw for high-distance bedding distribution.
  • Directional Blower Chute: Controls the direction and placement of bedding material.
  • Side Discharge Doors: Provide controlled distribution of mixed feed.
  • PTO Driveline: Transfers tractor power to the mixing and straw-blowing systems.
  • Trailer Chassis: Supports the mixer body, wheels, towing assembly and working components.
  • Weighing System: Optional load cells and digital display support accurate ration preparation.
Working Principle For TMR preparation, forage, concentrates and supplementary ingredients are loaded according to the required ration formula. Tractor PTO power drives the vertical auger, which cuts, lifts and circulates the ingredients until the desired mixing uniformity is achieved.

During feeding, hydraulic discharge doors are opened and the rotating auger moves the finished ration toward the outlet for distribution along the cattle feed alley.

For bedding operations, straw is loosened and processed before entering the mechanically driven blower turbine. The accelerated straw passes through the directional chute and is projected into stalls, cubicles or deep-bedding areas.

Where required, an optional water-spray system can be used to reduce airborne dust during straw distribution.

Installation & Maintenance
  • Select a tractor with sufficient PTO power, hydraulic capacity and towing capability.
  • Confirm barn entrance height, feed-alley width and turning radius before selecting the final configuration.
  • Connect the drawbar, PTO shaft, hydraulic hoses, braking system and electrical controls securely.
  • Inspect auger knives and restrictor blades regularly for wear and damage.
  • Check straw-blower turbine components, drive belts and bearings according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Inspect the directional blower chute and remove accumulated straw or foreign material when required.
  • Check gearbox oil, PTO driveline and lubrication points regularly.
  • Inspect tires, wheel fasteners, brakes and towing components before daily operation.
  • Maintain accurate calibration of the optional weighing system.
  • Stop the tractor, disconnect the PTO and secure the machine before servicing the mixing or blower system.
Product FAQ Q: What is the main advantage of a TMR mixer with a straw blower?
A: One tractor and one machine can prepare and distribute livestock feed while also spreading straw bedding, reducing machine changes and routine labor.

Q: What feed ingredients can be mixed?
A: Typical ingredients include grass silage, corn silage, hay, straw, alfalfa, concentrates, grains, minerals and supplementary feeds.

Q: How far can the straw blower spread bedding?
A: The reference system can project straw up to approximately 25 m depending on straw characteristics and operating conditions.

Q: Can the machine process long straw?
A: Yes. The vertical auger, cutting knives and restrictor blades are designed to process fibrous forage and bedding straw.

Q: Is dust reduction available?
A: Yes. An optional water-spray system can moisten straw and help reduce airborne dust during bedding.

Q: Is electronic weighing available?
A: Yes. Digital weighing and ration-management systems can be supplied for more accurate ingredient loading.

Q: Can it be used in existing livestock buildings?
A: Yes. Capacity, overall dimensions, discharge arrangement and accessories can be selected according to barn access and project requirements.
