| Product Overview |
The Trailed Horizontal TMR Feed Mixer is a tractor-towed mixing wagon developed for the preparation of Total Mixed Rations in dairy farms, beef cattle farms, goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep farms and other ruminant feeding operations.
Its horizontal mixing system combines cutting, conveying and blending functions in one machine. Silage, hay, straw, chopped forage, concentrates, minerals and other ration ingredients can be processed into a homogeneous feed mixture before distribution.
The mobile trailer configuration allows the mixer to move between feed storage, mixing and feeding areas, making it suitable for commercial farms that require flexible feeding routes and centralized ration preparation. |
| Key Features |
- Horizontal auger mixing system for efficient cutting, conveying and blending of fibrous feed materials.
- Suitable for silage, hay, straw, semi-dry forage, concentrates and other ration ingredients.
- Trailed design enables operation with a compatible agricultural tractor.
- High-strength mixing chamber designed for intensive livestock-farm operating conditions.
- Cutting knives help process long-fiber forage while the augers continuously circulate the ration.
- Uniform mixing helps reduce ingredient separation and supports consistent nutrient intake.
- Hydraulic discharge system provides controlled unloading of prepared feed.
- Optional electronic weighing system supports accurate ration formulation and batch management.
- Multiple capacities and equipment configurations are available according to project requirements.
|
| Structural Components |
- Mixing Chamber: Reinforced steel body designed to withstand continuous loading and mixing of dense and fibrous feed materials.
- Main Horizontal Auger: Performs primary cutting and circulation of forage inside the mixing chamber.
- Auxiliary Augers: Move material through the chamber and assist in achieving a homogeneous ration.
- Cutting Knives: High-strength blades mounted on the auger assembly for processing hay, straw and other long-fiber material.
- Transmission System: Transfers tractor power to the mixing mechanism through the PTO driveline and gearbox.
- Hydraulic Discharge Gate: Controls the discharge of mixed feed from the chamber.
- Weighing System: Optional load-cell-based weighing equipment for ingredient loading and ration control.
- Trailer Chassis: Heavy-duty frame, axle, tires and drawbar designed for movement around livestock farms.
|
| Working Principle |
Feed ingredients are loaded into the mixing chamber according to the required ration formula. Power from the tractor PTO drives the gearbox and horizontal auger system.
The main auger and cutting knives process long-fiber forage while auxiliary augers continuously move the material through the chamber. This repeated cutting, lifting, conveying and blending action distributes forage, concentrates and supplementary ingredients throughout the ration.
After the required mixing cycle is completed, the hydraulic discharge gate is opened and the prepared TMR can be unloaded for feeding or transferred to downstream feed-distribution equipment. |
