Adjustable Lamb Heat Lamp Stand

Product Name Adjustable Lamb Heat Lamp Stand
Product Image adjustable lamb heat lamp stand
Product Overview

The Adjustable Lamb Heat Lamp Stand is a freestanding suspension support designed for positioning a compatible livestock heat lamp above a localized warming area. Its adjustable chain enables the operator to change the distance between the heat source and the animal resting zone without relying on ceilings, walls or improvised attachment points.

The reference stand has a broad 28 × 28 in footprint and an erected height of approximately 42 in. A 26 in suspension chain and heat lamp clip allow the lamp height to be adjusted according to the required warming intensity.

When equipped with a suitable livestock heat lamp, the stand can be used in lambing pens, goat kid nurseries, poultry brooders and other young-animal care areas. Its portable structure is useful in temporary lambing facilities, modular livestock pens and steel-structure farm buildings where permanent overhead suspension points may not be available.

Key Features
  • Adjustable Lamp Height: Suspension chain allows the heat lamp to be raised or lowered to modify the heating distance.
  • Freestanding Installation: Does not depend on ceiling hooks or permanent building-mounted suspension points.
  • Large Stable Footprint: The reference configuration uses a 28 × 28 in base area for practical support around a brooder or warming zone.
  • 42 in Erected Height: Provides practical clearance for compatible hanging livestock heat lamps.
  • 26 in Adjustment Chain: Allows flexible positioning of the suspended lamp within the stand.
  • Heat Lamp Clip: Included hanging hardware provides a dedicated attachment point for a compatible lamp.
  • Simple Assembly: Leg sections, braces, top cap, hanger and chain are assembled using basic hardware.
  • Portable Design: The stand can be relocated between lambing pens, nursery areas and livestock treatment zones.
  • Replaceable Components: Legs, braces, feet, top cap, chain and hanger are individually serviceable on the reference system.
  • Livestock Housing Compatibility: Suitable for temporary or permanent warming stations in modular pens and steel-structure livestock buildings.
Structural Components
Support Legs Multiple inclined legs form the freestanding support structure around the warming area.
Top Cap Connects the upper ends of the support legs and provides a central location for the lamp hanger.
Metal Braces Connect the legs and help maintain the geometry and stability of the erected stand.
Lamp Hanger Upper support component from which the adjustment chain is suspended.
Adjustment Chain Allows the operator to select the preferred hanging height for the heat lamp.
Heat Lamp Clip Connects the compatible heat lamp to the suspension chain.
Protective Feet Fitted to the lower ends of the legs to provide stable floor contact.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

The stand creates an independent overhead suspension point for a compatible livestock heat lamp. The lamp hangs from the central chain rather than being clipped to a wall, pen panel or other improvised structure.

The vertical distance between the lamp and the animal resting area can be changed by selecting a different position on the adjustment chain. Raising the lamp generally increases the heated coverage area and reduces surface heat intensity, while lowering it concentrates the heat over a smaller zone.

Final lamp height should always be determined according to lamp output, livestock species, animal age, ambient temperature, bedding conditions and the heat lamp manufacturer's installation instructions.

Installation & Maintenance

Assembly:

  1. Insert the upper ends of the support legs into the top cap.
  2. Position the leg holes in the correct orientation before installing the braces.
  3. Secure the metal braces to the legs using the supplied machine screws and nuts.
  4. Insert the lamp hanger into the top cap.

Installation Guidelines:

  • Place the stand on a level and stable floor.
  • Position all legs outside the main animal traffic area whenever possible.
  • Keep electrical cables protected from chewing, moisture and animal contact.
  • Maintain the minimum clearances specified by the heat lamp manufacturer.
  • Keep bedding, plastic panels and other combustible materials away from the hot lamp.
  • Adjust lamp height according to actual animal behavior and temperature conditions rather than relying on a fixed position.

Maintenance:

  • Inspect the legs, braces, screws, chain, clip and hanger regularly.
  • Tighten loose fasteners before returning the stand to service.
  • Replace cracked, bent or damaged structural components.
  • Clean dirt and bedding from the protective feet and lower legs.
  • Remove the heat lamp before collapsing, transporting or storing the stand.
  • Store the unit in a dry area when it is not required during the lambing season.
