The 4-Compartment Lamb Warming Box is a thermostatically heated recovery unit designed for weak, chilled or hypothermic newborn lambs. The electric heater introduces thermostatically controlled warm air into the lower part of the enclosure. The raised ventilated floor allows this heated air to move beneath and around each lamb, creating a more uniform warming environment. This warm-air principle is particularly useful for chilled or hypothermic lambs because heat reaches a larger proportion of the body surface than with a conventional overhead heat lamp. Livestock guidance identifies circulating warm-air boxes as an appropriate warming method for moderate to severe lamb hypothermia. The compartment partitions allow several lambs to recover independently. Where additional internal space is required, the dividers can be removed to create a larger continuous chamber. |
