| Product Overview |
The Large Flock Energy-Free Sheep Waterer is designed to provide automatic access to drinking water without depending on an electrical heating system. Its insulated enclosure, below-grade water connection and thermal design use the relatively stable temperature of the surrounding ground to help protect the water supply from freezing during cold weather while helping maintain cooler drinking water during hot weather. The two-hole configuration provides multiple drinking positions from a single unit, making it suitable for high-density goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep housing, breeding facilities, pasture systems and large-scale livestock operations. The system can be incorporated into new farm construction or retrofit projects and coordinated with concrete slabs, fencing, drainage, underground utilities and steel structure buildings. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
The waterer is connected to a pressurized or suitable gravity-fed water supply through an underground plastic water line. An adjustable float valve automatically admits fresh water as the water level drops, keeping the drinking reservoir ready for livestock. For frost protection, the water supply is routed below the local frost line through an insulated underground section. The surrounding ground provides a comparatively stable thermal environment, while the insulated body and thermal baffle limit heat loss from the drinking area. Proper underground installation is essential for reliable winter performance and should be designed according to local climate, frost depth and farm conditions. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Installation: Prepare a stable concrete mounting slab and locate the underground water connection according to the approved installation drawing. Provide an appropriate underground heat-well or air-space section beneath the waterer and route the plastic water supply line below the local frost line. Install suitable insulation around the underground section, position the waterer on the slab, secure the mounting brackets and seal the base connection against water and air leakage. Water Supply: The water line should be sized and configured according to required flow, available pressure and the selected valve assembly. Plastic water pipe is recommended for the reference configuration; final plumbing should comply with local standards. Maintenance: Regularly inspect the drinking openings, float mechanism, valve, shut-off valve and water connection. Remove sediment and foreign material when necessary. Before winter operation, verify insulation, underground protection, seals and valve function. Maintenance frequency depends on water quality and livestock operating conditions. |

| Project Cases |
The reference two-hole energy-free design is used in outdoor livestock watering applications and can be integrated into fenced pasture areas and permanent livestock facilities. Its underground water connection is particularly suited to projects where waterlines are planned together with site grading, drainage, concrete foundations and livestock traffic routes. For new-build agricultural projects, SHEWUYOU can coordinate the waterer configuration with livestock pen layout, steel structure building design, underground utility routing and other livestock equipment according to project requirements. |
