The feeder is connected to a clean water supply and appropriate electrical power source. Powdered milk replacer is loaded into the storage hopper, and the integrated heating system maintains water for milk preparation. When the milk level in the front mixing bowl decreases, the control system automatically initiates a new preparation cycle. A measured quantity of milk powder and warm water enters the mixing bowl and is blended into fresh milk at the selected concentration. Prepared milk is transferred through flexible hoses to teat stations positioned within the lamb or kid pens. Animals draw milk through the teats by natural suckling action, allowing feeding to occur throughout the day without repeated manual bottle preparation. Preparing relatively small quantities on demand helps maintain a continuous supply of fresh warm milk while reducing the time that mixed milk remains in the feeding system. |
