8-Station Automatic Lamb Feeder

Product Name 8-Station Automatic Lamb Feeder
Product Image 8-station automatic lamb feeder installed in lamb nursery
Product Overview

The 8-Station Automatic Lamb Feeder is a professional milk replacer feeding system designed for intensive rearing of lambs and goat kids. The feeder automatically prepares warm milk replacer in small portions and distributes it to multiple teat stations, allowing young animals to drink according to demand.

The eight-station configuration is suitable for large lambing units, commercial sheep farms and dairy goat nurseries where manual bottle feeding would require substantial labor. A central machine can supply several feeding points distributed across adjacent nursery pens.

Reference commercial systems can support up to eight feeding stations, approximately 20 to 30 animals per station and up to 240 lambs or goat kids per machine, depending on farm management and selected configuration.

Key Features
  • Up to Eight Feeding Stations: Supports multiple remote teat points for efficient group rearing.
  • High Animal Capacity: Reference systems can feed approximately 20 to 30 lambs or goat kids per station and up to 240 animals with eight stations.
  • Automatic Milk Preparation: Milk replacer powder and warm water are prepared automatically in controlled portions.
  • Ad-Libitum Feeding: Animals can suckle from teat stations according to their natural feeding demand.
  • Temperature Regulation: An integrated boiler, temperature sensor and electronic heating control help maintain the selected drinking temperature.
  • Precision Portioning: Water and milk replacer quantities can be configured separately.
  • Fast Mixing: Commercial reference configurations prepare approximately 2.5 to 3 L of feed per minute.
  • Reduced Feeding Labor: Centralized preparation eliminates much of the repetitive work associated with bottle and bucket feeding.
  • Semi-Automatic Cleaning: Accessible mixer components and hose-cleaning equipment simplify hygiene management.
  • Flexible Farm Integration: Suitable for modular lamb pens, goat kid nursery areas and steel-structure livestock buildings.
Structural Components
Milk Powder Hopper Stores milk replacer powder for automatic dosing. Reference capacity is approximately 35 kg.
Powder Dosing System Meters milk replacer according to the programmed feed concentration.
Water Boiler Maintains preparation water at the selected operating temperature.
Temperature Control Electronic heating regulation with temperature monitoring supports consistent feeding temperature.
Mixing Chamber Rapidly combines warm water and milk replacer into freshly prepared liquid feed.
Control Panel Compact operating interface used for temperature, water and milk replacer settings.
Milk Distribution Manifold Connects the mixer to multiple suction hoses serving individual feeding stations.
Eight Feeding Stations Remote teat points installed in one or more lamb or goat kid nursery pens.
Height-Adjustable Teat Holder Optional adjustable front plate allows teat position to be adapted to different animal ages.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

The feeder is connected to a clean water supply and electrical power source. Milk replacer powder is loaded into the hopper, while the integrated boiler maintains water at the programmed temperature.

When feed is required, the machine doses warm water and milk replacer into the mixing chamber. The ingredients are rapidly blended into a fresh portion and supplied through suction hoses to the teat stations.

Lambs and goat kids drink from the teat stations according to demand. One central unit can therefore support several nursery pens without requiring the operator to mix and carry individual bottles or buckets.

The distributed station layout also allows the machine itself to remain in an accessible service area while animal feeding points are installed inside the pens.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation:

  1. Install the feeder on a stable and level floor in a dry, protected service area.
  2. Provide the required electrical connection according to the selected model.
  3. Connect a clean and reliable water supply.
  4. Provide nearby drainage for routine cleaning and wash water.
  5. Route feeding hoses to the required nursery pens with minimal unnecessary hose length.
  6. Install teat stations securely on livestock partitions at an appropriate height.
  7. Check water temperature, milk replacer concentration, hose delivery and all eight feeding stations before commissioning.

Maintenance:

  • Clean the mixing chamber and milk-contact components according to the daily hygiene program.
  • Flush suction hoses regularly to remove milk residue.
  • Use the hose-cleaning equipment to clean longer milk lines thoroughly.
  • Inspect teats for bite damage, hardening, cracking or deformation.
  • Keep milk replacer powder dry and prevent moisture from entering the hopper.
  • Check the dosing system and temperature controls regularly.
  • Replace worn teats, hoses, seals and other milk-contact components when necessary.
