Compact Automatic Lamb Milk Feeder

Product Name Compact Automatic Lamb Milk Feeder
Product Image compact automatic lamb milk feeder BAMBINO OVIS-40
Product Overview

The Compact Automatic Lamb Milk Feeder is a space-saving automatic nursing system developed for artificial rearing of lambs and goat kids. The feeder automatically combines powdered milk replacer with warm water at the required concentration and supplies freshly mixed milk to multiple teat stations.

The reference OVIS-40 configuration is optimized for approximately 40-60 lambs or goat kids and provides four feeding nipples. Its compact cabinet format is particularly suitable for lambing sheds, nursery pens and small-to-medium commercial livestock farms where floor space and labor efficiency are important.

The feeder requires only suitable electrical power and a clean running-water connection, allowing straightforward integration into existing livestock houses, modular pen layouts and new steel-structure sheep or goat buildings.

Key Features
  • Compact Automatic Feeding: Combines milk powder storage, warm-water preparation, dosing and mixing in one compact machine.
  • Fresh Milk on Demand: Automatically prepares small quantities of milk replacer instead of storing large volumes of pre-mixed milk.
  • 40-60 Animal Reference Capacity: Suitable for commercial nursery groups of lambs and goat kids.
  • Four Feeding Nipples: Multiple nursing points allow several animals to feed from the system throughout the day.
  • Adjustable Milk Concentration: Powder-to-water ratio can be adjusted according to milk replacer instructions and feeding management.
  • Warm Milk Preparation: Integrated water heating supports consistent milk temperature during preparation.
  • Reduced Manual Labor: Eliminates repeated hand mixing and bottle preparation for individual animals.
  • 24-Hour Feeding Access: Supports frequent small meals according to the natural suckling behavior of lambs and kids.
  • Simple Utility Requirements: Requires electrical power and running water for normal operation.
  • Project Integration: Teat panel layout, tubing and electrical configuration can be adapted according to project requirements.
Structural Components
Milk Powder Hopper Stores powdered milk replacer above the dosing system.
Powder Auger / Dosing Unit Transfers a controlled quantity of milk replacer into the mixing bowl.
Water Tank Stores heated water required for milk replacer preparation.
Heating Element Heats water before mixing with powdered milk replacer.
Thermostat Allows preparation temperature to be adjusted for the feeding program.
Mixing Bowl Combines warm water and milk replacer into a uniform liquid feed.
Control Panel Provides machine ON/OFF, rinse and feeding adjustment functions.
Milk Tubing Transfers prepared milk from the machine to the remote nipple panels.
Nipple Panels Provide four feeding nipples for lambs and goat kids.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

Milk replacer powder is loaded into the hopper and the machine is connected to a clean water supply. The internal heating system maintains warm water for milk preparation.

When additional milk is required, the dosing mechanism transfers a measured amount of powder into the mixing bowl while warm water is added. The mixing motor blends both ingredients into a fresh portion of milk replacer.

Prepared milk is supplied through flexible tubing to remote nipple panels installed in the livestock pen. Lambs and goat kids can suckle from the nipples according to their natural feeding frequency.

The system therefore reduces repeated manual mixing and allows one compact feeder to support a group of artificially reared young animals.
