Eggs arrive from longitudinal collection belts or nest conveyors and enter the vertical conveyor through a controlled transfer section. The conveyor then carries them along an inclined upward or downward route. Guide components help maintain egg position while the conveyor passes through the required elevation change. At the discharge end, eggs are transferred gently onto the downstream cross conveyor or centralized egg collection line. Installation begins by determining the required inlet elevation, discharge elevation and conveyor gradient. Supporting frames should be securely fixed to the poultry-house structure or independent steel supports according to the approved project layout. The conveyor should be accurately aligned with upstream egg belts and downstream cross collection equipment. Transfer height, conveyor tension, guide position and drive settings should be adjusted before commissioning. Routine maintenance includes cleaning conveyor surfaces, checking chains or belts, inspecting gearboxes and bearings, adjusting tension, removing shell fragments and monitoring transfer points for abnormal accumulation. Electrical safety guards should remain installed during operation. |
