The Cross Egg Conveyor System is a centralized egg transportation solution designed to receive eggs from longitudinal collection belts, elevators or lift systems and convey them across multiple cage rows toward a central collection, grading or packing area. In a commercial layer house, eggs are first transported along the cage rows by longitudinal egg belts. At the end of each row, an elevator or transfer unit delivers the eggs to the cross conveyor. The cross conveyor then combines the egg flow from multiple rows and moves the eggs toward the required downstream handling equipment. The system can be configured for A-type and H-type layer cage houses, multi-tier installations and large steel structure poultry buildings. Conveyor length, route, elevation changes, transfer sections, drive configuration and connection to egg graders or packers can be engineered according to the farm layout and project requirements. |

| Working Principle |
Eggs laid in the cages roll onto the longitudinal egg belts and travel toward the end of each cage row. An elevator, lift or transfer mechanism moves the eggs from the longitudinal belts to the cross collection level. At the transfer point, eggs are distributed onto the cross conveyor with controlled movement. The conveyor transports the combined egg flow across the cage rows toward a central collection table, egg room, grading line or packing system. For buildings with different equipment elevations or complex layouts, inclined and curved conveyor sections can be incorporated to bridge horizontal and vertical differences while maintaining continuous egg transport. Conveyor speed and collection sequence can be coordinated with longitudinal belts and elevators to maintain an appropriate egg flow and reduce congestion at transfer points. |
