Product Overview

The High-Capacity Multi-Tier Egg Elevator is an automatic vertical egg collection unit designed to transfer eggs from multiple cage or colony-house tiers into a centralized cross conveyor, grading line or packing system.

Eggs arriving from longitudinal egg belts are transferred onto the elevator mechanism and carried vertically with controlled spacing and gentle support. This configuration enables simultaneous collection from several levels while reducing manual handling and helping maintain a continuous egg flow from the poultry house to the collection room.

The system is suitable for large commercial layer farms, multi-tier cage houses and intensive egg production projects. SHEWUYOU can configure elevator height, tier connections, conveyor width, discharge position, drive system and control interface according to poultry-house layout and project requirements.

Key Features
  • Multi-tier collection: Receives eggs from multiple cage levels and transfers them to a common discharge conveyor.
  • High-capacity operation: Designed for intensive commercial layer farms with continuous egg flow requirements.
  • Gentle egg handling: Controlled transfer points and supporting carrier elements help reduce impact during elevation.
  • Variable operating speed: Drive configuration can be matched to longitudinal belt flow and downstream packing capacity.
  • Flexible discharge height: Outlet position can be designed according to cross conveyor, grading machine or packing-room layout.
  • Foreign-material separation: Optional rod-type transfer sections can allow feathers and loose debris to fall away before elevation.
  • Compact end-set layout: Vertical transportation makes efficient use of available poultry-house space.
  • Reduced manual labor: Automatic collection improves workflow between layer housing and egg handling areas.
  • Project integration: Suitable for new poultry buildings and modernization of existing egg collection installations.
Structural Components
  • Main Support Frame: Provides structural support for the vertical collection assembly.
  • Egg Carrier System: Basket, chain or engineered carrier elements transport eggs between collection levels.
  • Tier Inlet Sections: Receive eggs from longitudinal egg belts at each connected level.
  • Transfer Conveyor: Guides eggs smoothly from the cage-row belt into the elevator.
  • Drive Unit: Powers the elevator chain or carrier system at the required collection speed.
  • Discharge Assembly: Transfers collected eggs onto a cross conveyor or downstream handling line.
  • Tensioning Components: Maintain stable chain or carrier alignment during continuous operation.
  • Protective Covers and Guards: Help protect moving components and improve operational safety.
  • Control Components: Coordinate egg elevator operation with longitudinal belts and downstream equipment.
Working Principle

Eggs produced in the layer system move along longitudinal egg belts toward the end of each cage or colony row. At the elevator inlet, eggs pass through a controlled transfer section and enter the vertical carrier mechanism.

The elevator continuously transports eggs from multiple tiers toward the selected discharge level. The carrier arrangement maintains controlled egg movement and limits sudden drops or uncontrolled collisions during vertical transportation.

At the discharge point, eggs are transferred onto a cross conveyor for transportation to a collection table, egg grader, farm packer or centralized egg processing area. Belt and elevator speeds can be coordinated to maintain a stable flow throughout the collection process.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation

  1. Confirm cage-row height, tier quantity, aisle dimensions and cross-conveyor position.
  2. Install and level the main elevator support frame.
  3. Mount the vertical carrier, chain and tensioning assemblies.
  4. Align each tier inlet with the longitudinal egg belts.
  5. Install the drive motor, guards and control components.
  6. Connect the discharge section to the cross conveyor or packing line.
  7. Check all transfer points for smooth egg movement.
  8. Run the system without load and then complete a controlled egg-flow test before full operation.

Maintenance

  • Inspect carrier chains, baskets and connection components regularly.
  • Maintain correct chain tension and alignment.
  • Keep inlet transfer sections and debris trays clean.
  • Inspect bearings, drive units and rotating components according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Check protective covers and safety guards before operation.
  • Remove broken eggs and accumulated foreign material promptly.
  • Replace worn carrier or connecting components when necessary to maintain gentle egg transport.
Project Cases

High-capacity multi-tier egg elevators are suitable for commercial layer projects where several cage levels must feed eggs into one centralized collection system. SHEWUYOU can prepare equipment layouts according to poultry-house dimensions, cage-row quantity, expected egg production, collection-room position and downstream packing requirements.
