| Working Principle |
Each silo support leg rests on a weighing module. The combined weight of the silo structure and stored feed creates a vertical force that passes through the mounting assembly to the load cell. The load cell produces an electrical signal proportional to the applied force. Signals from all silo support points are combined through a junction box and processed by a compatible weighing indicator, transmitter or controller. After zero adjustment and system calibration, the total silo weight can be determined. By subtracting the known tare weight of the empty silo, the system can calculate the net amount of stored feed and track weight changes during feeding or refilling operations. |
