Product Overview

The Stainless Steel Feed Transport Cart is a manual material-handling trolley designed for moving dry feed and compatible livestock materials between storage, preparation and feeding areas in commercial pig farms.

The reference design uses thickened stainless steel with full-length welded joints, providing a strong body with good corrosion resistance and easy-clean surfaces. A rounded bottom improves feed discharge and reduces material accumulation in corners.

Dual push handles and reinforced rubber caster wheels provide convenient maneuverability along pig-house aisles, while stackable construction can reduce storage space and shipping volume.

Key Features
  • Heavy-duty stainless steel construction for intensive livestock-farm use.
  • Full-length welded joints improve structural strength and sealing.
  • Rounded bottom helps feed flow smoothly during unloading.
  • Smooth interior simplifies cleaning and reduces feed accumulation.
  • Dual handles allow convenient pushing and positioning from either end.
  • Rolled upper rim improves rigidity and provides a smoother handling edge.
  • Reinforced rubber wheels provide quiet movement and good load-bearing performance.
  • 360-degree swivel caster configuration improves maneuverability in narrow aisles.
  • Bottom frame reinforced with stainless steel square tubing.
  • Reference load capacities of 150 kg and 250 kg.
  • Stackable design helps save warehouse and transportation space.
Structural Components
  • Stainless Steel Hopper Body: Holds feed and provides a corrosion-resistant transport container.
  • Rounded Hopper Bottom: Promotes easier unloading and cleaning.
  • Full-Welded Seams: Strengthen joints and reduce gaps where feed residue can accumulate.
  • Rolled Upper Rim: Reinforces the top edge and improves handling safety.
  • Dual Tubular Handles: Allow operators to push, pull and reposition the cart conveniently.
  • Reinforced Bottom Frame: Stainless steel square tubing supports the loaded hopper.
  • Rubber Caster Wheels: Provide quiet rolling and resistance to routine farm wear.
  • Swivel Wheel Assembly: Supports tighter turning in feeding and service aisles.
Working Principle

Feed is loaded manually or from a feed-storage or preparation point into the open stainless steel hopper. The operator then pushes or pulls the cart along the livestock-house aisle to the required feeding positions.

Swivel caster wheels allow the trolley to turn in confined spaces, while the reinforced chassis supports the loaded hopper during transport.

At the destination, feed can be manually transferred into troughs, feeders or intermediate containers. The curved hopper bottom helps minimize material remaining inside the cart after unloading.

Installation & Maintenance

Commissioning:

  • Inspect the hopper, welded seams, handles and chassis before first use.
  • Confirm all caster-wheel fasteners are securely tightened.
  • Check that swivel wheels rotate freely without interference.
  • Verify the selected capacity is appropriate for the aisle floor and manual handling conditions.
  • Do not exceed the specified load capacity.

Maintenance:

  • Remove residual feed after each feeding round.
  • Wash and dry the hopper regularly according to farm hygiene procedures.
  • Inspect full-welded seams for mechanical damage.
  • Remove feed, hair and debris from caster assemblies.
  • Check wheel bearings and swivel mechanisms periodically.
  • Inspect the bottom reinforcement frame and handle welds for damage.
  • Clean and disinfect the cart when moving between biosecurity zones where required.
Product FAQ

Q: What is the Stainless Steel Feed Transport Cart used for?
A: It is designed for manual transportation of livestock feed and compatible materials between feed-storage, preparation and feeding areas.

Q: What capacities are available?
A: The reference product is available in 150 kg and 250 kg configurations. Other capacities can be supplied according to project requirements.

Q: What stainless steel is used?
A: The reference configuration uses 201 stainless steel. Alternative material specifications can be discussed for project orders.

Q: Why is the hopper bottom rounded?
A: The curved bottom reduces difficult corners, improves feed discharge and simplifies cleaning.

Q: Are the joints fully welded?
A: Yes. The reference body uses continuous welding rather than simple spot welding to improve strength and sealing.

Q: Is the cart easy to maneuver?
A: Reinforced rubber casters and 360-degree swivel wheels provide convenient turning in livestock-house aisles.

Q: Can several carts be stacked for shipping?
A: Yes. The reference hopper geometry allows carts to be nested or stacked to reduce storage and transportation space.

Q: What information is required for a quotation?
A: Please provide required quantity, load capacity, preferred stainless steel grade, aisle width, wheel requirements, destination country and any custom dimensions.
