| Product Overview |
The QR Code Cattle Ear Tags provide a practical combination of visible animal identification and digital record access for commercial dairy farms, beef cattle operations, breeding centers and livestock traceability projects. Each tag can be marked with a unique QR code that links the animal to a digital identification number, herd database, breeding record or other farm-management information. The large tag surface supports QR codes, serial numbers, barcodes, farm names and logos. Durable livestock-grade polymer construction is designed for long-term use in barns, feedlots, cattle yards and outdoor grazing environments. Depending on project requirements, QR code tags can be supplied as visual identification tags or combined with LF or UHF RFID technology to create a dual-identification system for smartphone scanning and electronic reader integration. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
Each cattle ear tag is assigned a unique QR code during production. The QR code can represent an animal identification number or direct the user to an authorized digital record within the livestock management system. Farm personnel scan the QR code with a compatible smartphone or imaging device. The encoded information is then displayed or used to locate the corresponding animal record, depending on the software configuration. For RFID-enabled models, the same ear tag can also contain an electronic transponder. This allows the animal to be identified using either the printed QR code or a compatible RFID reader, providing a practical backup and dual-identification workflow. |

| Applications |
In commercial cattle operations, QR code ear tags can be integrated with smartphones, cloud-based herd-management software, electronic weighing systems and RFID infrastructure to provide flexible animal identification at different management points. For steel structure livestock farm projects, QR identification can be incorporated into cattle handling areas, veterinary stations, breeding facilities, weighing systems and automatic sorting workflows. Similar QR tag designs can also be configured for commercial pig farms, goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep farms and goat operations according to animal size and management requirements. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Prepare the Tag: Confirm that the QR code, visible number and optional electronic ID correspond to the intended animal record before installation. Prepare the Applicator: Load the male and female tag components into the compatible cattle ear tag applicator. Select the Position: Install the tag in the recommended area between major ear cartilage ribs while avoiding large blood vessels. Apply the Tag: Close the applicator firmly and smoothly to engage the locking structure. Verify the QR Code: Scan the installed tag with a compatible smartphone or scanner and confirm that the correct animal record or identification code is displayed. Verify RFID: For RFID-enabled versions, scan the electronic transponder with the appropriate reader and confirm that the digital ID matches the farm database. Routine Inspection: Check tags during normal cattle handling for damage, excessive wear or poor readability. Replace damaged tags according to the applicable farm and identification procedures. |

| Project Cases |
QR code cattle ear tags are suitable for farms seeking a cost-effective bridge between traditional visible identification and digital herd management. Farm personnel can scan an animal with a smartphone while retaining a clearly visible management number for everyday work. Large dairy and beef operations can use QR-coded tags for breeding, health, vaccination, weighing and movement records, while RFID-enabled versions can support automated reader systems and cattle sorting equipment. For complete livestock identification projects, QR code tags can be supplied together with visual tags, RFID readers, applicators, electronic scales and herd-management software integration. |
