Product Overview

The Cattle Identification Management System is an integrated livestock identification solution that combines electronic RFID ear tags, visual identification, handheld or fixed readers and digital herd records. It is designed to give each animal a unique identity that can be captured quickly and linked to management information throughout the animal's lifecycle.

The system supports cattle inventory, breeding records, weight management, health treatments, vaccination, movement tracking, sorting and traceability. Electronic identification reduces repetitive manual data entry and helps commercial cattle operations build more accurate individual animal records.

System architecture can be configured for dairy farms, beef operations, feedlots, breeding centers, livestock markets and integrated farm construction projects. Reader quantity, tag technology, communication methods and software interfaces can be selected according to herd size, barn layout and project requirements.

Key Features
  • Unique Animal Identification: RFID ear tags provide an electronic identity that can be linked to individual cattle records.
  • Visual and Electronic ID: Matched visual and RFID tags can simplify on-farm verification and data collection.
  • Fast RFID Reading: Handheld and fixed readers help operators capture animal IDs without manual transcription.
  • Digital Herd Records: Identification data can be connected with breeding, weight, treatment, vaccination and movement records.
  • Portable Reader Options: Stick readers and handheld readers support mobile work in barns, yards, chutes and field locations.
  • Wireless Data Transfer: Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi or other communication options are available according to reader configuration.
  • Automated Farm Integration: RFID identification can be incorporated into weighing, sorting, feeding and livestock handling workflows.
  • Traceability Support: Individual electronic records help improve animal movement documentation and lifecycle traceability.
  • Scalable Architecture: Suitable for single-farm installations and larger livestock management projects.
  • Custom Configuration: Tags, readers, software interfaces and identification formats can be selected according to project requirements.

Working Principle

Each animal receives an RFID ear tag containing a unique electronic identification number. A corresponding visual tag can also display a matching or farm-specific management number for rapid visual recognition.

When the animal enters the reading zone, a handheld, stick or fixed RFID reader captures the electronic ID. The reader can store the identification number locally or transmit it to a computer, mobile device or livestock management platform.

The ID is then linked to individual animal information such as breed, date of birth, weight, reproduction status, vaccination, treatments, feedlot movements or sales records. Additional equipment such as scales and sorting gates can use the same electronic identification to automate livestock handling.

Final system design depends on the RFID standard, required read range, livestock flow, building layout and existing farm-management infrastructure.
