| Working Principle |
When the reading function is activated, the integrated antenna generates a low-frequency electromagnetic field. A compatible passive livestock EID tag entering this field is energized and returns its unique identification information to the terminal.
After a successful scan, the electronic identification number appears on the display and can be stored in the terminal. The operator can assign animals to groups or tasks and enter additional information through the alphanumeric keypad.
Collected records can subsequently be transferred through Bluetooth or USB to compatible livestock management systems, computers or other farm equipment. This workflow reduces manual transcription and helps connect physical animal identification with digital herd records.

| Installation & Maintenance |
Initial Charging: Fully charge the terminal with the specified USB charging equipment before initial field operation.
System Configuration: Configure reader settings, groups, tasks and communication interfaces according to the livestock identification workflow.
EID Reading: Activate the reading function and bring the reader close to the electronic tag. Correct tag orientation and suitable distance help achieve reliable reading performance.
Data Entry: Use the alphanumeric keypad to enter required animal or management information and assign records to the appropriate group or task.
Data Transfer: Transfer collected records through Bluetooth or USB to compatible software or farm management equipment.
External Antenna: Where additional physical reach is required, connect a compatible external antenna according to the selected system configuration.
Maintenance: Keep the terminal, magnetic USB connection and external antenna connector clean and dry. Inspect the housing regularly and avoid unnecessary impact even though the device is designed for demanding farm environments.
|
| Typical Project Configuration |
In a commercial cattle operation, the terminal can be used at the cattle race or handling chute to read each animal's electronic ear tag while the operator records treatment, breeding, grouping or other management information. The collected records can then be transferred to the farm's digital management workflow.
For integrated livestock projects, SHEWUYOU can configure data collection terminals together with electronic cattle ear tags, RFID readers, livestock weighing systems, cattle handling equipment and related animal management equipment according to project requirements.
