| Product Overview |
The Cattle RFID Identification Kit is a complete livestock identification package designed to simplify electronic animal registration, traceability and herd data collection. A typical system combines compatible RFID cattle ear tags, a portable EID reader, an ear tag applicator, charging and communication accessories, and optional livestock management software.
Low-frequency electronic identification systems commonly use HDX or FDX-B transponders operating within ISO 11784 / ISO 11785 livestock identification frameworks. Each animal receives a unique electronic identification number that can be scanned during weighing, breeding, vaccination, treatment, movement or inventory procedures.
The modular kit can be configured for commercial dairy farms, beef cattle operations, livestock markets, breeding centers, veterinary programs and integrated cattle handling projects according to herd size and management requirements.

|
| Working Principle |
Each animal is fitted with a passive RFID ear tag containing a unique electronic identification number. When the tag enters the electromagnetic field generated by a compatible EID reader, the transponder is activated and transmits its stored identification code.
The reader displays the electronic ID and can store or transmit the record according to the selected configuration. The animal ID can then be associated with information such as weight, breeding status, treatment history, vaccination, movement or production records.
By connecting physical cattle identification with digital herd records, the system reduces repeated manual number entry and supports more efficient livestock traceability and farm management.

| Installation & Maintenance |
Ear Tag Installation: Load the compatible electronic tag and male stud into the recommended applicator. Apply the tag at the correct position between the major cartilage structures of the animal's ear according to the tag manufacturer's instructions.
Reader Setup: Fully charge the EID reader and configure communication, memory and scanning settings before field operation.
Animal Registration: Scan each newly installed RFID tag and link its electronic identification number to the correct cattle record.
Data Connection: Connect the reader to a compatible smartphone, weighing indicator or computer through Bluetooth or USB when data transfer is required.
Metal Environment: Steel cattle chutes, gates, panels and other metal equipment can influence low-frequency RFID performance. Reader position should be optimized under actual farm conditions.
Maintenance: Keep the reader housing, charging interfaces and tag applicator clean. Inspect the applicator pin and reader equipment regularly and replace damaged components when required.
|
| Typical Project Configuration |
A typical cattle RFID identification project equips each animal with an electronic ear tag and provides farm personnel with one or more portable EID readers. Tags can be applied during animal registration, while reader data can be connected with weighing, breeding, treatment and traceability records.
For integrated livestock projects, SHEWUYOU can configure RFID identification kits together with cattle handling systems, electronic scales, weighing indicators, automatic sorting equipment and other livestock management products according to project requirements.
