Product Overview

The Multi-Nipple Stainless Steel Wet-Dry Feeder is designed for commercial wean-to-finish and finishing pig production. Multiple feeding spaces combine adjustable dry-feed delivery with individual drinking nipples, allowing pigs to consume feed dry or add water directly in the trough.

The feeder body is manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel for reliable operation in humid livestock environments. Adjustable feed control helps maintain an appropriate feed level while reducing unnecessary feed accumulation.

Multiple lengths, heights and feeding-space configurations can be selected according to pig weight, pen capacity and project requirements.

Key Features
  • Multiple Feeding Spaces: Available with several feeding positions to serve commercial pig groups efficiently.
  • One Nipple per Feed Space: Each feeding position can provide direct water access for wet-dry feeding.
  • 304 Stainless Steel: Heavy-duty stainless steel provides excellent corrosion resistance and durability.
  • Precise Feed Adjustment: Adjustable feed-gate mechanisms allow controlled feed presentation and repeatable settings.
  • Two-Piece Water Bar: Removable water-line components simplify cleaning, inspection and replacement.
  • Reduced Feed Waste: Fine feed-flow control helps prevent excessive feed from building up in the trough.
  • Easy Maintenance: Water-bar and adjustment components are designed for convenient access during routine service.
  • Flexible Installation: Multiple feeder sizes and mounting arrangements support different commercial barn layouts.
Structural Components
  • Stainless Steel Hopper: Stores dry feed and directs it toward the adjustable feed shelf.
  • Feed Adjustment Assembly: Regulates feed flow from the hopper into the trough.
  • Blocking Panels: Reinforce the feed-control area and separate individual feeding spaces.
  • Wet-Dry Trough: Provides space for dry feed and water mixing.
  • Multiple Drinking Nipples: Individual nipples provide water access at each feeding position.
  • Horizontal Water Bar: Distributes water along the feeder.
  • Removable Vertical Water Pipe: Supports convenient water-line maintenance.
  • Mounting Brackets: Allow installation in-line with penning, perpendicular to fencing or according to project requirements.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

Dry feed moves from the hopper through an adjustable feed gate to the shelf and trough. The operator sets the opening according to pig size, feed characteristics and consumption level.

Pigs can consume feed directly or activate the nipple located in their feeding space. Water enters the trough and allows individual pigs to create a preferred wet-feed consistency.

The removable water-bar system provides access to drinking components for cleaning or repair without requiring major feeder disassembly.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation:

  • Confirm feeder length, feeding-space quantity, pen layout and animal access.
  • Install suitable feeder brackets and securely anchor the feeder.
  • Connect the vertical water supply pipe to the feeder water bar.
  • Check each nipple for correct operation and suitable water flow.
  • Connect the hopper to the automatic feed line where required.
  • Set the initial feed opening according to pig size and feed characteristics.
  • Check mounting stability, feed flow and water delivery before introducing pigs.

Maintenance:

  • Remove wet or stale feed from the trough regularly.
  • Inspect nipples for leakage, blockage and excessive wear.
  • Remove the water bar when required for thorough cleaning or repair.
  • Adjust feed flow as pig weight and ration characteristics change.
  • Inspect adjustment components, blocking panels, welds and mounting brackets periodically.
  • Wash and disinfect the feeder between production groups.
Product FAQ

Q1: How many nipples can the feeder have?

Reference configurations provide 1 to 6 feeding spaces with one drinking nipple for each space.

Q2: Why use 304 stainless steel?

304 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance and durability in humid livestock environments exposed to feed, water and routine cleaning.

Q3: Can feed flow be adjusted?

Yes. Incremental feed-gate adjustment allows operators to fine-tune the amount of feed presented on the shelf.

Q4: Can the water bar be removed?

Yes. The two-piece water system is designed so that the vertical pipe and horizontal water bar can be removed for cleaning or maintenance.

Q5: Can the feeder connect to an automatic feed line?

Yes. The hopper can be integrated with compatible automatic dry-feed delivery systems according to project requirements.

Q6: Are different feeder lengths available?

Yes. Different lengths and feeding-space quantities can be selected according to pen capacity and barn layout.

Q7: What information is required for a quotation?

Please provide the pig weight range, pigs per pen, required feeding spaces, pen dimensions, flooring type, water supply conditions, automatic feeding requirements and project location.
