| Product Overview |
The Concrete Slat Closer is a practical retrofit accessory designed to reduce the effective slot width of existing concrete slatted floors in pig houses without replacing the complete flooring system. The plastic profile is pressed into the existing concrete floor opening to create a narrower and more stable walking surface while retaining sufficient space for manure and liquid drainage. It can also help reduce feed loss through oversized floor openings. The system is suitable for commercial pig farms, renovation projects and livestock buildings where existing concrete slat dimensions need to be adapted to different pig categories or management requirements. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
The slat closer is positioned directly above an existing concrete floor slot and driven into the opening using a rubber hammer. Flexible retaining sections compress during insertion and then grip the internal sides of the slot. Once installed, the upper profile covers part of the original opening and effectively reduces the slot width. The remaining opening continues to provide drainage into the manure channel while the additional surface area improves floor continuity. |

| Product FAQ |
Q1: What is a concrete slat closer? It is a plastic insert installed in an existing concrete slatted floor to reduce the effective width of the floor opening. Q2: Does installation require drilling? Compatible quick-fit designs normally do not require drilling, bolts or screws and can be installed with a rubber hammer. Q3: Which concrete slot widths can be adapted? Reference profiles are available for approximately 14-18 mm, 18-22 mm and 24-32 mm gaps. Actual concrete slots should always be measured before ordering. Q4: Will manure still pass through the floor? Yes. The closer reduces rather than completely seals the opening, allowing suitable remaining drainage when correctly selected and installed. Q5: Can the product reduce feed waste? Reducing oversized floor openings can help prevent some feed from falling directly into the manure pit. Q6: Can existing concrete floors be upgraded without replacement? Yes. This is one of the main applications of a slat closer when the existing concrete slats remain structurally suitable. Q7: How do I select the correct model? Provide the measured slot width, concrete slat dimensions, pig category, required installation length, floor photographs and project quantity for product selection. |
