Product Overview	The Farrowing Pen Slatted Floor System is a modular flooring solution developed for the different requirements of lactating sows and newborn piglets. Plastic slats, cast iron sow sections, solid resting areas and optional heating plates can be combined within one floor layout. The sow area is designed to provide stable footing, durability and efficient manure passage, while the piglet area focuses on grip, warmth, hygiene and comfortable movement. Different floor zones can be arranged according to crate position, piglet nest dimensions, manure pit layout and farm management requirements. The system is suitable for conventional farrowing crates, loose farrowing pens and commercial sow units. Supporting beams, anchors, spacers and transition components can be supplied according to the selected flooring configuration.

Working Principle / Structural Principle	The flooring system divides the farrowing pen into functional zones according to the thermal and structural requirements of the sow and piglets. Heavy-duty slats are positioned beneath and around the sow to carry higher loads and provide secure footing. Plastic slats around the piglet area provide a warmer contact surface and suitable openings for manure drainage. Where additional piglet warmth is required, solid or heated plates can be incorporated into the creep area. Manure and liquids pass through the open floor sections into the manure pit, helping keep the animal area cleaner and drier. All modules are supported by structural beams and connected through compatible fittings to create a stable, continuous flooring surface.
