Working Principle / Structural Principle

Water enters the trough through the farm supply line and is controlled by a float-valve assembly. As livestock consume water and the water level falls, the valve opens to replenish the trough. When the preset level is reached, the valve closes or reduces the incoming flow.

For cleaning, the large drain valve is opened. The tapered trough geometry guides water toward the discharge point, enabling rapid emptying and helping carry loose sediment toward the outlet.

After cleaning, the drain is closed and the automatic water-control system refills the trough. Where high livestock demand is expected, an appropriately sized high-flow valve and water-supply line can be specified to improve recovery rate.

Installation & Maintenance

Positioning: Install the trough on a firm, level and well-drained concrete floor or other suitable structural base. Allow sufficient drinking access and maintenance clearance around the unit.
