| Product Overview |
The Wall Mounted Tipping Sheep Water Trough is a heavy-duty livestock drinking system designed for efficient water supply and convenient hygiene management in commercial goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep housing, lambing facilities and other livestock buildings. The wall-mounted configuration keeps the floor area clear while providing an accessible linear drinking surface for group-housed animals. Unlike conventional fixed livestock troughs, the trough body is supported by a pivoting mechanism that allows it to be tipped for rapid discharge of dirty water and sediment. This greatly simplifies routine washing and helps farm operators maintain cleaner drinking conditions with less water required during cleaning. A robust steel framework, protected pivot system, locking arrangement, service box and integrated guard rail make the trough suitable for demanding agricultural environments. Different lengths, capacities, water inlet arrangements and installation configurations can be supplied according to livestock housing layouts and project requirements. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
During normal operation, the trough remains locked in a horizontal drinking position. A compatible float valve regulates the incoming water supply and maintains the required drinking level as livestock consume water. For cleaning, the water supply is isolated as required and the locking mechanism is released. The trough body rotates around its pivot points, allowing residual water, sediment and loose contamination to discharge rapidly. The exposed trough interior can then be washed before the basin is returned to its operating position. After the latch is secured and the water supply is restored, the trough refills automatically. When combined with an appropriately sized high-flow valve, this arrangement provides fast recovery of drinking water after cleaning. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Structural Mounting: Install the mounting frame on a structurally adequate concrete wall, steel column system or reinforced livestock building structure. Fasteners must be selected according to wall material, trough load and project engineering requirements. Installation Height: Set the drinking edge at a suitable height for the intended sheep or livestock group. The trough must remain level in its locked operating position. Water Connection: Connect the inlet to an appropriately sized farm water supply. Select the valve and pipe diameter according to available pressure, required flow rate and livestock water demand. Cleaning: Isolate the water supply when required, release the locking mechanism and rotate the trough to discharge contaminated water. Wash the basin thoroughly before returning it to the drinking position. Routine Inspection: Periodically inspect mounting bolts, pivot points, bearings, locking components, guard rails, water connections and float valve operation. Corrosion Management: Where galvanized components are exposed for prolonged periods to aggressive mineral-rich water, silage residues or corrosive farm environments, suitable livestock-safe protective coatings can be considered as part of the maintenance program. |

| Project Cases |
Wall mounted tipping water troughs can be integrated into complete sheep farm and livestock housing projects together with galvanized sheep pens, feeding barriers, gates, lambing equipment, automatic water supply systems, manure management equipment and steel structure livestock buildings. For large commercial projects, trough quantity, installation height, pipeline diameter and drinking locations can be planned according to pen dimensions, livestock numbers and farm management requirements. |

| Product FAQ |
Q1: What is the advantage of a tipping water trough? The pivoting trough body allows dirty water and sediment to be discharged rapidly, making routine cleaning considerably easier than manually emptying a conventional fixed trough. Q2: Is this trough suitable for sheep farms? Yes. It can be configured for commercial sheep housing and other livestock applications. Installation height and drinking access should be selected according to the intended animal group. Q3: How does the trough refill after cleaning? After the trough is returned to its operating position and the water supply is restored, a compatible float valve automatically controls refilling. High-flow valves can be specified where rapid recovery is required. Q4: Why choose a wall mounted trough? Wall mounting keeps the supporting structure away from livestock traffic, provides a clean installation and can simplify floor cleaning inside commercial livestock buildings. Q5: Can different lengths and capacities be supplied? Yes. Trough dimensions, capacity and water supply configuration can be customized according to project requirements. Q6: Can the trough be supplied in stainless steel? Stainless steel configurations can be evaluated upon request for projects requiring increased corrosion resistance or specific hygiene characteristics. Q7: Can SHEWUYOU supply the trough as part of a complete sheep farm project? Yes. Water troughs can be coordinated with sheep penning, feeding equipment, drinking pipelines and steel structure livestock buildings according to the overall farm design. |
