| Product Overview |
The Stainless Steel Wall Mounted Sheep Water Trough is a durable livestock watering solution developed for goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep barns, lambing facilities, group pens and other commercial livestock housing applications. Its wall-mounted configuration keeps the floor area open while providing animals with convenient access to fresh drinking water. The trough body is manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel and designed with smooth internal surfaces for efficient cleaning and livestock hygiene. Depending on project requirements, the watering system can incorporate an automatic float valve to maintain the required water level and a large drainage outlet for rapid emptying during cleaning. Compared with conventional floor-standing tanks, wall mounting can simplify manure removal and mechanical cleaning around livestock pens. The trough can be incorporated into new sheep house construction, steel structure livestock buildings or existing farm renovation projects. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
The trough is connected to the farm's pressurized water-supply line. In automatic configurations, a float-operated valve opens as animals drink and the water level falls. Fresh water enters the trough until the predetermined level is restored, after which the valve closes automatically. This constant-level principle provides livestock with continuous access to drinking water while reducing the labor associated with manual filling. The valve can be positioned beneath a protective cover to reduce interference from animals. For routine sanitation, the water supply is isolated and the drain is opened to rapidly empty the trough. The stainless steel interior can then be washed before the drain is closed and normal automatic filling resumes. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Mounting Position: Select a location that allows animals convenient drinking access without obstructing livestock movement, gates, feed alleys or manure-cleaning equipment. Installation Height: Set the drinking edge at a suitable height for the target sheep group. Height should be determined according to animal age, breed and pen configuration. Structural Fixing: Secure the mounting plates to a load-bearing wall, steel column or suitable livestock pen structure using appropriate anchors or bolts. Water Connection: Connect the inlet to the farm water pipeline and verify that operating pressure is compatible with the selected float valve. Commissioning: Flush the supply pipeline before operation, check all connections for leakage and adjust the float mechanism to the required drinking-water level. Routine Cleaning: Drain and wash the trough regularly to remove sediment, feed contamination and organic material. Preventive Maintenance: Periodically inspect the float valve, drain fitting, mounting bolts, water connections and stainless steel surfaces to maintain reliable operation. |

| Product FAQ |
Q1: Why use stainless steel for a sheep water trough? Stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance, a smooth hygienic drinking surface and convenient cleaning, making it well suited to demanding livestock housing environments. Q2: What is the advantage of wall mounting? Wall mounting keeps supporting legs away from the floor, simplifies cleaning around the drinking area and can improve space utilization inside livestock pens. Q3: Can the trough refill automatically? Yes. An automatic float-valve configuration can maintain a preset water level as animals drink. Q4: Is a quick-drain system available? Yes. A large drain outlet can be incorporated to accelerate emptying and routine cleaning. Q5: Can the dimensions be customized? Yes. Length, capacity, mounting configuration and other dimensions can be manufactured according to project requirements. Q6: Can it be integrated into a complete sheep house project? Yes. The trough can be coordinated with sheep pens, feeding systems, water pipelines and steel structure livestock buildings for complete farm construction projects. Q7: Is it suitable only for sheep? No. Depending on trough dimensions, mounting height and valve configuration, similar stainless steel wall mounted troughs can also be specified for goats, cattle and other livestock applications. |
