| Product Overview |
The Large Capacity Heated Cattle Waterer is an automatic livestock watering system designed for commercial dairy farms, beef cattle operations, feedlots and large outdoor pens where dependable water availability is required throughout the year. The waterer combines a heavily insulated, impact-resistant polyethylene casing with a durable stainless steel drinking trough. Thermostatically controlled electric heating is positioned beneath the trough to help maintain ice-free operation during freezing weather, while an automatic quick-refill valve restores the drinking-water level as cattle consume water. Large drinking access and high refill capacity make this type of waterer suitable for high-volume livestock applications. Heating capacity, electrical supply, water inlet arrangement and cold-weather protection can be configured according to herd size, local climate and farm construction requirements. |

| Working Principle |
The waterer is connected to a pressurized farm water supply. As cattle drink and the trough water level falls, the float mechanism opens the inlet valve and automatically introduces fresh water. Once the preset water level is restored, the valve closes. The high refill capacity helps maintain drinking-water availability when several animals use the trough during the same period. During cold weather, the thermostat activates the heating elements positioned beneath the stainless steel trough. The insulated casing reduces heat loss, while supplementary cable heating protects the valve and supply-line area. Correct installation of the incoming water line below the local frost depth, together with suitable thermal protection around the riser, is important for dependable winter operation. |

| Product FAQ |
Q1: What makes this waterer suitable for large cattle herds? The combination of a large drinking trough, automatic quick-refill valve and high-capacity water supply makes it suitable for commercial herds with high peak drinking demand. Q2: How does the waterer remain operational in freezing weather? Thermostatically controlled heaters warm the stainless steel trough, while insulated casing, valve protection and optional supply-line heating help reduce freezing risk. Q3: Does the trough refill automatically? Yes. An automatic float valve opens as the water level falls and closes when the preset drinking level is restored. Q4: How many cattle can the reference configuration serve? The current referenced CattleMaster 480 configuration is rated for up to approximately 180 beef cattle or 90 dairy cattle under suitable water-supply conditions. Q5: Is stainless steel used in the drinking area? Yes. Comparable professional systems use a 304 stainless steel trough and stainless steel hardware for durability and corrosion resistance. Q6: Can the system be installed outdoors? Yes. Impact-resistant polyethylene housing with UV inhibitors is suitable for large pastures, outdoor pens and feedlot applications when installed according to local climate requirements. Q7: Does the underground water line require frost protection? Yes. The water supply should be installed according to local frost-depth requirements, with thermal tubing and supplementary heating where necessary. Q8: Can SHEWUYOU configure larger waterers for bigger herds? Yes. Longer troughs, higher heating capacity, larger herd configurations and project-specific plumbing systems can be supplied according to farm requirements. |
