| Product Overview |
The Channel Screw Feed Conveyor is a rigid trough-type conveying system designed for horizontal or moderately inclined transport of livestock feed, grain, pellets, mash and other compatible dry bulk materials. A rotating screw flight moves material continuously through the channel from one or more feed inlets toward the required discharge point. The system is suitable for installation beneath feed silo batteries, between storage and mixing equipment, or as part of automatic poultry, pig and cattle feeding projects. Its rigid channel construction, protective cover and geared drive provide dependable operation for commercial livestock equipment and steel structure farm building applications. |

| Working Principle |
Dry feed enters the channel through one or more inlet openings connected to storage silos, receiving hoppers or other bulk handling equipment. When the geared motor starts, the screw rotates inside the trough. The helical flight pushes the material continuously along the channel toward the selected discharge point. The conveyor can be integrated with silo discharge gates, weighing systems, mixing equipment and automatic feeding controls to support complete livestock feed handling systems. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Installation: Position the conveyor between silo outlets and receiving equipment according to the approved feed-system layout. All structural supports should be correctly aligned and securely fixed before commissioning. Commissioning: Confirm screw rotation direction, drive alignment, bearing condition, inlet and outlet positions and cover installation before introducing feed. Initial operation should be monitored to verify smooth material movement. Maintenance: Regularly inspect the motor, gearbox, bearings, screw shaft, channel sections, covers and support brackets. Remove residual or deteriorated feed when required and disconnect electrical power before opening covers or servicing the conveyor. |

| Product FAQ |
Q: What is a channel screw feed conveyor? A: It is a mechanical conveyor that uses a rotating screw inside a rigid trough or channel to move livestock feed and other dry bulk materials. Q: Can one conveyor receive feed from several silos? A: Yes. Multiple inlet points can be incorporated to receive feed from several storage silos installed along the conveyor route. Q: What materials can be conveyed? A: Typical materials include livestock feed, grain, pellets, mash and other compatible dry granular or powdered products. Q: Can the conveyor be used in pig feeding systems? A: Yes. It can transfer dry ingredients from silos to feed preparation tanks, mixers or other pig feeding equipment. Q: Is stainless steel available? A: Yes. Stainless steel construction is available upon request for projects requiring higher corrosion resistance or specific hygiene standards. Q: Can the conveyor be integrated with automatic controls? A: Yes. Motors, sensors, silo discharge gates, timers and PLC controls can be integrated according to the feeding-system design. Q: Can SHEWUYOU customize the complete system? A: Yes. Conveyor length, screw diameter, trough size, inlet and outlet positions, drive system, support structure and controls can be configured according to project requirements. |
