| Product Overview |
The Vertical Screw Feed Conveyor is designed for vertical elevation of dry animal feed, grain, pellets and suitable granular or powder materials in poultry farms, livestock facilities and feed handling projects. The compact tubular design transfers material from a low-level receiving hopper to an elevated discharge point while occupying limited floor space.
The system can be integrated with feed silos, day bins, mixers, weighing equipment and automatic feeding lines. Conveyor height, tube diameter, hopper configuration, drive power and discharge arrangement can be engineered according to feed characteristics, required capacity and project layout.
|
| Key Features |
- Vertical Feed Elevation: Transfers bulk feed upward where floor space is limited or a high discharge point is required.
- Enclosed Tubular Design: Helps contain feed and dust during material transfer.
- Top-Mounted Drive: Motor and drive assembly can be positioned at the upper end of the conveyor.
- Covered Receiving Hopper: Provides controlled feed introduction at the conveyor base.
- Galvanized Construction: Hot-dip galvanized steel is suitable for demanding agricultural and livestock equipment environments.
- Flexible Configuration: Available in different lengths and diameters according to lifting height and conveying requirements.
- Automatic Integration: Can be connected with level sensors, timers, feed controllers and centralized feeding systems.
- Project-Oriented Installation: Suitable for feed silo projects, poultry houses, pig farm construction and steel structure building applications.
|
| Structural Components |
- Vertical Conveyor Tube: Enclosed tubular housing that guides feed during vertical transport.
- Screw Flight Assembly: Rotating screw mechanism that elevates material through the tube.
- Receiving Hopper: Base hopper for collecting dry feed, grain or other compatible bulk products.
- Top Drive Unit: Electric motor and transmission assembly powering the screw conveyor.
- Upper Discharge Head: Directs elevated feed into a silo, hopper, mixer or downstream conveyor.
- Support Structure: Brackets and structural supports maintain vertical alignment and installation stability.
- Control Components: Electrical controls, level sensors and safety devices available according to project requirements.
|
| Working Principle |
Dry feed enters the receiving hopper at the bottom of the conveyor. The electric drive rotates the internal screw, continuously moving the material upward through the enclosed vertical tube.
At the upper end, feed exits through the discharge outlet and can be transferred into a storage silo, day bin, feed mixer or secondary distribution system. Automatic controls can coordinate conveyor operation with upstream and downstream equipment.

| Installation & Maintenance |
The conveyor should be installed vertically with suitable structural supports at the base and along the tube. Alignment between the receiving hopper, conveyor tube, screw assembly and upper drive unit is important for stable operation. Support requirements should be coordinated with the livestock building or steel structure design.
Routine maintenance includes inspecting the screw, bearings, drive motor, transmission components, hopper, discharge head and structural supports. Guards and electrical isolation procedures should be used before servicing moving components.
