| Product Overview |
The Fiberglass Poultry Feed Silo is designed for safe and efficient outdoor storage of dry poultry feed, including mash, pellets, grain-based feed and other suitable bulk materials. The silo body is manufactured from glass-reinforced polyester, combining low structural weight with corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and good thermal insulation.
The silo can be integrated with automatic poultry feeding lines, flexible augers, rigid screw conveyors, weighing equipment and centralized feed distribution systems. Different capacities, support structures and filling methods can be configured for broiler, layer and breeder farms as well as complete livestock equipment and steel structure poultry house projects.
|
| Key Features |
- Corrosion-Resistant Fiberglass: GRP construction does not rust and is suitable for outdoor livestock and poultry farm environments.
- Thermal Insulation: Fiberglass construction helps reduce rapid temperature changes affecting stored feed.
- Smooth Internal Surface: Helps improve gravity discharge and reduce feed accumulation inside the silo.
- Weather Protection: Enclosed silo construction protects dry feed from rain and external contamination.
- Feed-Level Monitoring: Visual level strips or electronic sensors can be added according to project requirements.
- Flexible Filling Methods: Suitable for mechanical auger filling or pneumatic loading.
- Automatic Feeding Integration: Compatible with augers, slide gates and centralized feed conveying systems.
- Project-Oriented Design: Capacity, support frame and discharge configuration can be customized for different farm layouts.
|
| Structural Components |
- Fiberglass Silo Body: Cylindrical GRP storage body for dry poultry and livestock feed.
- Conical Hopper: Smooth lower cone supports gravity discharge toward the outlet.
- Galvanized Support Frame: Structural legs and bracing provide stable outdoor installation.
- Top Filling Inlet: Connects with mechanical or pneumatic feed-loading equipment.
- Bottom Discharge Outlet: Connects to flexible augers, rigid conveyors or automatic feed lines.
- Inspection Components: Level indicators, hatches and monitoring accessories are available upon request.
- Ventilation Accessories: Vent pipes, dust filters or pressure-control components can be supplied for selected filling systems.
|
| Working Principle |
Dry feed is loaded into the silo from the top through a mechanical auger or pneumatic filling system. The enclosed fiberglass body stores feed above the poultry house distribution system while helping protect it from moisture and environmental contamination.
When feed is required, material moves downward through the conical hopper by gravity. The bottom outlet transfers feed into a flexible auger, rigid screw conveyor, weighing hopper or other automatic poultry feeding equipment.

| Installation & Maintenance |
The silo should be installed on an engineered reinforced-concrete foundation designed for the full loaded weight, local wind conditions and applicable construction requirements. The support frame must be accurately positioned and securely anchored before the silo and feed conveying equipment are commissioned.
Routine inspection should include the fiberglass body, galvanized support frame, anchor bolts, filling pipe, discharge outlet, auger connections and safety accessories. Mechanical conveying components should be serviced according to the farm maintenance schedule.
