Product Overview

The Portable Modular Cattle Handling Race is a flexible livestock handling system designed for temporary cattle yards, pasture locations, veterinary work and farms where a permanent handling facility is unnecessary or impractical.

Individual hurdles, race arches, gates and coupling bars can be assembled in different configurations to create holding pens, single-file races and controlled entry sections. The modular structure allows the system to be expanded, reduced or rearranged according to herd size, working space and cattle-management requirements.

Key Features
  • Portable modular system suitable for field and farm-yard cattle handling.
  • Quick assembly and dismantling for temporary or seasonal livestock operations.
  • Six-rail cattle hurdles provide secure cattle containment.
  • Box-section infillers reinforce the reference hurdle construction.
  • Race arches maintain the required working width without permanent posts.
  • Gate sections can be configured for left-hand or right-hand opening.
  • Modular layout can be enlarged or reduced according to herd size and available space.
  • Suitable for connection to cattle crushes, weighing equipment and veterinary handling stations.
  • Galvanized steel construction is suitable for demanding outdoor livestock environments.
Structural Components
  • Portable Cattle Hurdles: Form holding pens, race sides and livestock-guiding sections.
  • Coupling Bars: Connect adjacent hurdles and race components quickly without permanent foundations.
  • Race Joining Arches: Maintain race alignment and prevent the hurdles from spreading apart.
  • Race Arch with Gate: Provides intermediate livestock-flow control within the handling race.
  • Wide Gate Frame: Creates controlled entry or exit points between holding and working areas.
  • Rail and Box-Section Frame: Provides structural strength while maintaining visibility through the handling system.
Working Principle

Portable hurdles are connected with coupling bars to form the required holding area and single-file cattle race. Race joining arches stabilize the working alley, while integrated gates regulate cattle entering or leaving individual sections.

Animals move from the temporary holding pen into the narrower handling race and then toward a cattle crush, head yoke, weighing station or treatment area. After use, the system can be dismantled and reconfigured at another location.
