Key Features
  • Stepped A-Frame Structure: Open multi-tier arrangement provides convenient bird observation, maintenance access and natural airflow.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Construction: Galvanized steel cage mesh and supporting components are designed for long-term poultry-house environments.
  • Automatic Feeding: Travelling feed trolley distributes feed uniformly along cage rows and helps reduce labor requirements and feed waste.
  • Automatic Drinking: Closed nipple drinking lines provide a controlled and hygienic water supply.
  • Efficient Egg Handling: Sloped cage floors allow eggs to roll gently toward the collection area for convenient manual or automatic collection.
  • Automatic Manure Removal: Scraper or manure-belt systems can be selected according to cage layout and farm management requirements.
  • Flexible Automation: Available as manual, semi-automatic or fully integrated configurations.
  • Project Customization: Cage dimensions, tiers, bird capacity, row quantity and supporting systems can be adapted to individual poultry projects.
Working Principle Laying hens are housed in individual cage compartments arranged on both sides of the A-shaped supporting frame. Feed is distributed along the rows through feeding troughs using manual or automatic travelling feeding equipment, while nipple drinkers continuously provide clean water.

The inclined cage floor allows freshly laid eggs to roll toward the front collection area. Eggs can then be collected manually or transferred by an automatic egg belt and conveyor system. Manure falls below the cages and is periodically removed by scraper or belt-type manure handling equipment, helping maintain a cleaner poultry-house environment.

Installation & Maintenance Cage rows should be installed on a level and adequately prepared poultry-house floor according to the approved layout drawing. Correct row spacing, frame alignment and cage-floor inclination should be checked before commissioning.

  • Check cage frames, fasteners and connecting parts regularly.
  • Inspect nipple drinkers and water pressure to prevent leakage or insufficient water supply.
  • Clean feeding troughs and check travelling feeder operation periodically.
  • Inspect egg belts, conveyors and drive units for correct tension and alignment.
  • Remove manure according to the farm schedule and keep discharge areas clear.
  • Check motors, reducers, sensors and electrical control components according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Clean and disinfect the cage system thoroughly between production cycles.

Product FAQ

What is an A-Type Layer Cage System?
It is a stepped multi-tier cage system for commercial laying hens. The cages are arranged on both sides of an A-shaped frame to provide convenient management, ventilation and manure handling.

How many tiers are normally available?
Three-tier and four-tier systems are the most common configurations. The final arrangement should be selected according to poultry-house width, height and target bird capacity.

Can the feeding system be automated?
Yes. The cage rows can be equipped with an automatic travelling feeding trolley for uniform feed distribution and reduced labor requirements.

Can automatic egg collection be added?
Yes. Automatic egg belts, horizontal conveyors and centralized egg transfer equipment can be configured according to farm scale and egg-room layout.

How is manure removed?
Depending on the project design, manure can be removed using scraper systems or automatic manure belts.

Can the cage dimensions and capacity be customized?
Yes. Cage dimensions, tier quantity, row length, stocking capacity and supporting automation systems can be customized according to project requirements.

What information is required for a quotation?
Please provide the target number of laying hens, poultry-house length, width and clear height, local voltage and frequency, climate conditions, and the required automation level.
