Product Name A-Type Layer Poultry Cage System
Product Image A-Type Layer Poultry Cage System for Commercial Egg Farms
Product Overview The A-Type Layer Poultry Cage System is a stepped multi-tier housing solution designed for commercial laying hen farms. Its A-shaped frame arranges the upper cage tiers progressively inward, providing convenient flock observation, good air circulation and practical access for daily management.

The system is manufactured from corrosion-resistant galvanized steel and can be supplied in different cage sizes, tier configurations and row lengths. Automatic feeding, nipple drinking, egg collection and manure removal systems can be integrated according to farm capacity and automation requirements.

Key Features
  • Classic A-Frame Design: The stepped cage arrangement provides a stable structure and convenient access for bird inspection and equipment maintenance.
  • Efficient Space Utilization: Three-tier or four-tier layouts increase bird capacity while maintaining practical aisle space.
  • Galvanized Steel Construction: Corrosion-resistant cage mesh and supporting components are suitable for demanding poultry-house environments.
  • Good Ventilation: The open stepped structure allows air to circulate around each cage tier and supports effective poultry-house ventilation.
  • Efficient Egg Rolling: The inclined cage floor allows eggs to roll gently toward the front collection area.
  • Automatic Feeding Option: Travelling feeding equipment distributes feed consistently along long cage rows.
  • Automatic Drinking: Closed nipple drinking lines provide controlled and hygienic water delivery.
  • Automatic Egg Collection: Longitudinal egg belts and cross conveyors can reduce manual egg handling.
  • Flexible Manure Management: Scraper or belt-type manure removal systems can be selected according to project requirements.
  • Custom Project Design: Cage size, row length, bird capacity and automation level can be adapted to individual poultry farm projects.
Working Principle Laying hens are housed in cage compartments arranged on both sides of an A-shaped supporting frame. Feed is supplied through front troughs, either manually or by an automatic travelling feeder. Water is delivered through closed pipelines to nipple drinkers installed along each cage tier.

The cage floor is installed at a controlled inclination so that freshly laid eggs roll naturally toward the front egg collection area. Eggs can be collected manually or transferred by automatic longitudinal belts and centralized conveyor equipment.

Manure falls through the cage floor to the area beneath the cages. Depending on the farm configuration, manure can be removed using scraper equipment or an automatic belt system. Feeding, drinking, egg collection and manure removal can be coordinated through centralized electrical controls.

Installation & Maintenance Cage rows should be installed on a level and structurally suitable poultry-house floor according to the approved equipment layout. Accurate frame alignment and consistent cage-floor inclination are important for stable operation and reliable egg rolling.

  • Check cage frames, wire mesh, bolts and connecting components regularly.
  • Maintain correct cage-floor inclination for smooth egg movement.
  • Keep feed troughs clean and remove accumulated or spoiled feed.
  • Inspect nipple drinkers, water pipelines and pressure regulators for leakage.
  • Check travelling feeders for correct alignment and smooth operation.
  • Inspect egg belts, rollers and conveyor transfer points regularly.
  • Check scraper or manure belt equipment according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Inspect motors, reducers, chains and electrical control components periodically.
  • Clean and disinfect cages thoroughly between production cycles.
  • Replace damaged mesh, drinkers, belts or other worn components when required.
Product FAQ

What is an A-Type poultry cage?
It is a stepped multi-tier poultry cage system with an A-shaped supporting frame, commonly used for commercial laying hen production.

How many tiers are normally available?
Three-tier and four-tier configurations are commonly used. The final design depends on poultry-house dimensions and target bird capacity.

How many birds can one cage set hold?
Typical commercial configurations range from approximately 90 to 160 laying hens per set. Final capacity depends on cage dimensions, door quantity and stocking requirements.

Can automatic feeding be installed?
Yes. Travelling feeders and centralized feed conveying systems can be integrated according to row length and farm automation requirements.

Can eggs be collected automatically?
Yes. Longitudinal egg belts, cross conveyors and centralized egg collection equipment can be added for commercial layer farms.

How is manure removed?
Depending on the cage layout, manure can be removed by scraper equipment or automatic manure belt systems.

What is the difference between A-Type and H-Type cages?
A-Type cages use a stepped A-shaped arrangement and generally have fewer tiers with a more open structure. H-Type cages use vertically stacked tiers and are commonly selected when higher stocking density is required.

Can the cage system be customized?
Yes. Cage dimensions, tier quantity, row length, bird capacity and supporting automatic equipment can be configured according to individual poultry projects.

What information is required for a quotation?
Please provide the target number of laying hens, poultry-house length, width and clear height, preferred tier configuration, local voltage and frequency, climate conditions and required automation level.
