| Product Overview |
The A-Type Layer Cage System is a step-type poultry housing solution developed for commercial laying-hen farms requiring practical operation, efficient space utilization and flexible automation. The tiered cages are arranged around an A-shaped supporting frame, providing an open structure that promotes natural airflow and convenient access for daily flock management. The cage body is manufactured from corrosion-resistant galvanized steel wire and supported by a stable structural frame. Sloped cage floors allow freshly laid eggs to roll gently toward the front collection area, while external feed troughs and nipple drinking lines provide convenient access to feed and clean drinking water. Depending on farm scale and investment requirements, the system can operate with manual equipment or integrate automatic feeding, drinking, egg collection and manure removal. This flexibility makes A-type cages particularly suitable for small and medium commercial layer projects as well as farms upgrading from manual production to semi-automatic or automatic operation. SHEWUYOU can configure the cage layout according to poultry-house dimensions, target bird capacity, local climate, ventilation method and required level of automation. |

| Structural Principle |
The cage sections are installed on both sides of an A-shaped structural frame. Each higher tier is positioned inward relative to the tier below, creating the characteristic stepped or pyramid profile. This arrangement maintains open space between cage levels and supports natural ventilation. Depending on the selected manure-management configuration, manure can fall toward the collection area below or be removed using an integrated mechanical system. The cage floor is installed with a controlled forward slope. After laying, eggs roll gently outside the bird area toward an egg collection trough or conveyor belt, reducing unnecessary contact between birds and collected eggs. Feed troughs are positioned along the cage fronts, while nipple drinking lines distribute water throughout the cage rows. Automatic subsystems can be added to create an integrated commercial layer production line. |

| Product FAQ |
Q1: What is an A-type layer cage? It is a stepped cage system in which cage tiers are arranged around an A-shaped supporting frame, creating an open structure for commercial laying hens. Q2: How many tiers are available? Three- and four-tier systems are common, while other configurations can be considered according to poultry-house dimensions and project requirements. Q3: Can the system use automatic feeding? Yes. Automatic feed distribution can be integrated, or the cage system can be configured for manual feeding on smaller projects. Q4: How are eggs collected? The sloped cage floor allows eggs to roll toward the front collection area. Eggs can then be collected manually or transferred by an optional automatic conveyor system. Q5: Is an automatic drinking system included? A nipple drinking system with water pipes and pressure-control components can be integrated into each cage row. Q6: Is A-type suitable for hot climates? Its relatively open step-type arrangement supports airflow and can be suitable for warm climates when combined with a correctly designed poultry-house ventilation and cooling system. Q7: Can existing poultry houses be equipped with A-type cages? Yes. A project layout can be prepared after evaluating the usable house length, width, height, aisle requirements and target flock capacity. Q8: What information is required for a cage layout? Poultry-house length, width and height, target bird quantity, layer breed, climate conditions and required level of automation are normally required. Q9: Can SHEWUYOU provide a complete layer farm equipment package? Yes. Cage systems can be integrated with feeding, drinking, egg collection, manure removal, ventilation, cooling, lighting and environmental control equipment according to project requirements. |
