| Product Image | ![]() |
| Product Overview | The Manual A-Type Layer Cage System is an economical poultry housing solution designed for commercial laying hen farms that require reliable production management without the investment and operating complexity of a fully automated cage system. The system uses a stepped A-frame structure with multiple cage tiers arranged on both sides of the supporting frame. This configuration provides convenient access for manual feeding, egg collection, flock inspection and daily maintenance while making efficient use of poultry house floor space. Galvanized steel cage components provide corrosion resistance in demanding poultry house environments. The system can be combined with nipple drinking lines, feed troughs, water pressure regulators and project-specific manure management equipment. Cage layout, row quantity and supporting equipment can be configured according to poultry house dimensions, flock capacity and local production requirements. |

| Structural Principle | The cage compartments are positioned on both sides of an inclined A-shaped frame. Upper and lower cage tiers are staggered so that manure can fall toward the collection area below rather than directly onto birds housed on lower tiers. Feed is distributed through longitudinal troughs positioned along the front of each cage tier. Drinking water is supplied through a nipple drinking line connected to a header tank or pressure regulating unit. The cage floor is installed at a controlled incline so that eggs move naturally toward the front egg collection section. Farm workers can then inspect and collect eggs manually from the aisle without entering individual cages. |

| Installation & Maintenance | Installation should begin with a level poultry house floor and an approved cage row layout. A-frame supports are positioned first, followed by cage panels, structural braces, feed troughs, drinking pipes and related accessories. Sufficient aisle space should be maintained for manual feeding, egg collection, flock inspection, manure handling and routine equipment maintenance. Regular maintenance includes checking frame connections, cage wire, doors, feed troughs, nipple drinkers, water pipes and pressure regulators. Drinking lines should be flushed periodically, damaged components should be replaced promptly, and the cage system should be cleaned and disinfected according to the farm biosecurity program. |
| Product FAQ | Q: What is the main difference between a manual A-Type cage and a fully automatic cage system? A: A manual A-Type system generally uses manual feeding and egg collection with a simpler mechanical structure and lower initial investment, while drinking water can still be supplied automatically through nipple lines. Q: Can the cage system be customized for different poultry house dimensions? A: Yes. Cage dimensions, row length, tier configuration and farm layout can be customized according to project requirements. Q: Is the cage suitable for open poultry houses? A: Yes. The open A-frame structure is commonly used in naturally ventilated and semi-enclosed poultry houses. Final configuration should be designed according to local climate and farm conditions. Q: Can an automatic drinking system be supplied? A: Yes. Nipple drinkers, drinking pipes, filters, pressure regulators, header tanks and related waterline accessories are available. Q: Can manure removal equipment be added? A: Yes. Manure collection and removal solutions can be selected according to poultry house layout, farm scale and management requirements. Q: Can SHEWUYOU provide a complete poultry house equipment solution? A: Yes. Cage systems can be coordinated with feeding, drinking, ventilation, cooling, lighting, manure management and steel structure poultry house equipment. |
