| Working Principle |
During brooder startup, the pilot flame heats the thermocouple sensing tip. The temperature difference within the thermocouple produces a small thermoelectric voltage. This signal energizes the compatible magnetic safety mechanism in the gas valve, allowing fuel to continue flowing while the pilot flame is present. If the pilot flame goes out, the sensing tip cools and the electrical output decreases. The gas safety mechanism then releases and closes the fuel supply. This prevents continuous unburned gas flow from a pilot-operated brooder. |
