Product Overview

The Single Jet Gas Brooder is a suspended poultry heating unit designed to provide concentrated radiant warmth during chick brooding and early-stage poultry rearing. A centrally located gas burner generates heat beneath a large reflector canopy, directing thermal energy toward birds, litter and the floor surface.

The single-jet structure combines a straightforward burner arrangement with a durable reflector, gas-control assembly and thermostatic regulation. This simple construction supports dependable operation, convenient inspection and efficient cleaning in demanding commercial poultry-house environments.

The brooder is suitable for broilers, breeders, pullets, turkeys and other floor-reared poultry. Fuel configuration, ignition method, canopy size, thermostat arrangement and zone-control options can be selected according to project requirements and local farm conditions.

Key Features
  • Single-Jet Heating Design: Provides a simple and reliable gas-fired heat source for poultry brooding areas.
  • Radiant Floor Heating: Directs useful thermal energy toward birds, litter and floor surfaces.
  • Large Reflector Canopy: Helps distribute heat across a broad brooding footprint.
  • Modulating Thermostat Option: Supports controlled heat output according to brooding requirements.
  • Independent Thermostat Option: Allows individual brooder or heating-zone management according to system configuration.
  • Zone Control Available: Compatible systems can electronically control multiple brooders through a common thermostat.
  • Direct Spark Ignition Option: Electronic ignition can eliminate the need for a continuously operating standing pilot.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Components: Stainless steel components improve durability in humid poultry environments.
  • Durable One-Piece Canopy: Robust reflector construction supports long-term commercial operation.
  • Quick Installation: Simplified structure reduces assembly and installation complexity.
  • Easy Washdown: Compatible protected control components support thorough poultry-house cleaning.
  • Commercial Farm Integration: Suitable for steel structure poultry houses and centralized climate-control projects.

Working Principle

Fuel gas is supplied to the burner through the regulator and gas-control assembly. The burner mixes gas with combustion air and produces a concentrated heat source beneath the reflector canopy.

Heat generated by the burner is directed downward and outward by the reflector. The floor, litter and birds absorb the radiant energy, creating a warm brooding zone without depending entirely on heating the full volume of house air.

With a modulating thermostat, heat output can respond to changes in the brooding-zone temperature. Optional zone control allows several brooders to operate as a coordinated heating group.

Direct spark ignition configurations provide electronic ignition and control, while other versions may use pilot-based ignition depending on the selected project specification.

Installation & Maintenance

The gas brooder should be suspended from a suitable poultry-house structural member and installed according to the selected equipment specification and applicable local gas, ventilation and fire-safety requirements.

  • Confirm the selected gas type before installation.
  • Verify required gas pressure and regulator specification.
  • Use suitable chain or cable for brooder suspension.
  • Provide a separate safety chain where required.
  • Maintain specified clearances from litter, combustible surfaces and building components.
  • Use approved gas hoses, valves and fittings.
  • Leak-test all gas connections before operation.
  • Check burner ignition and flame condition before chick placement.
  • Adjust brooder height according to bird behavior and heat distribution.
  • Keep the burner and combustion-air openings free from dust and litter.
  • Clean reflector surfaces between production cycles.
  • Inspect burner tubes, gas controls and suspension components regularly.
  • Protect electronic ignition equipment during poultry-house washdown.
Project Cases
