| Product Overview |
The Poultry House Evaporative Air Cooler combines wetted cooling media, a water circulation system and a fan to supply fresh air to a poultry building. It can be considered for farms that need equipment-based air delivery at selected locations within a coordinated ventilation design. For commercial broiler and layer houses, cooler quantity and placement are planned around building dimensions, bird distribution, air inlets and exhaust capacity. The objective is to deliver useful airflow while managing humidity and avoiding excessive drafts at bird level. The cooler can be incorporated into a new agricultural project or assessed for a suitable existing steel structure building. Mounting supports, wall openings, water supply, drainage and electrical connections should be coordinated with the poultry house construction drawings. Evaporative cooling performance depends on outdoor temperature and humidity. Equipment selection and operating controls should therefore be designed according to local climate and farm conditions. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
Water is distributed over the cooling media while the fan draws outdoor air through it. As some of the water evaporates, the incoming air loses sensible heat and gains moisture. The fan supplies this air through the selected discharge arrangement. Exhaust fans or designed relief openings move air out of the poultry house, allowing fresh air to continue entering as part of the livestock ventilation system. Cooling results vary with outdoor humidity, airflow and water distribution. Bird-level air speed, indoor humidity and ventilation rate must be considered together when the cooler is integrated into a poultry house. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Installation: Review the poultry house dimensions, bird type and occupancy, local weather data, existing fans and intended airflow path. Confirm that the wall or supporting steel structure can carry the equipment and provide safe access for servicing. Install the cooler at the designed location, seal the building opening and connect the specified water supply, drain and electrical protection. Commission the system by checking media wetting, drainage, fan operation and airflow at bird level. Maintenance: Inspect cooling media, water distribution openings, the pump, collection area and drain at intervals suited to water quality and farm dust levels. Remove mineral deposits and debris, check for leaks and replace damaged media when required. Keep intake areas clear and follow the farm’s cleaning and biosecurity procedures. Isolate power before inspecting electrical or rotating components. |
| Project Cases |
Illustrative broiler house scenario: An agricultural engineering contractor assesses cooler locations along a commercial broiler building. Equipment supports, supply airflow and exhaust operation are specified together to suit the house layout and bird-level conditions. Illustrative layer farm scenario: A multi-house farm reviews evaporative air coolers for buildings with different dimensions and ventilation arrangements. Each house receives a separate equipment and control proposal based on its airflow requirements and available utilities. |
