Spring-Loaded Pig House Ceiling Air Inlet

Product Showcase Content
Product Name SPRING-LOADED PIG HOUSE CEILING AIR INLET
Product Image Spring-Loaded Pig House Ceiling Air Inlet
Product Overview The Spring-Loaded Pig House Ceiling Air Inlet is designed for controlled fresh-air distribution in enclosed pig houses and other livestock buildings using negative-pressure ventilation.

Its butterfly-style opening structure provides two-sided indoor air distribution and increases the effective ventilation area. The inlet can be operated manually or integrated with an automatic environmental controller to regulate opening angle according to ventilation demand.
Product Gallery Ceiling-mounted butterfly air inlet, double-sided air distribution, curved inlet panels, mechanical linkage, suspension cable and automatic livestock-house ventilation-control configuration.
Key Features
  • Butterfly Opening Structure: Disc-style opening increases effective air-exchange area and supports aerodynamic airflow distribution.
  • Double-Sided Air Intake: Fresh air is distributed toward both sides of the livestock house for more uniform ventilation.
  • Up to 3600 m³/h Airflow: Listed maximum airflow reaches approximately 3600 m³/h at 20 Pa static pressure.
  • Manual & Automatic Control: Can be operated manually or connected to an automatic ventilation-control system.
  • AC810 Controller Compatible: Opening angle can be automatically adjusted according to environmental-control requirements.
  • Ceiling-Mounted Design: Fresh air enters above the animal zone and mixes with indoor air before descending.
  • Adjustable Opening Angle: Allows inlet capacity and air velocity to follow changing ventilation demand.
  • Cold-Draft Reduction: Ceiling-level airflow helps reduce direct cold-air impact on pigs during minimum ventilation.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Construction: Professional livestock inlet systems use durable engineering plastic components suitable for humid farm environments.
  • Spring-Assisted Configuration: Spring-return components can support reliable closing and stable inlet positioning depending on configuration.
Working Principle Exhaust fans create negative pressure inside the pig house. The pressure difference draws fresh outdoor air through the ceiling inlet.

The butterfly-style inlet panels open to both sides and guide incoming air along the ceiling. This promotes mixing between fresh outdoor air and warmer indoor air before the airflow enters the pig-occupied zone.

The opening angle can be adjusted manually or automatically. As exhaust capacity increases, the inlet opens further to provide additional fresh air while maintaining suitable inlet velocity and pressure balance.

Installation & Maintenance
  • Calculate inlet quantity according to total ventilation capacity and required operating static pressure.
  • Distribute the air inlets evenly along the livestock-house ceiling.
  • Keep each inlet level so both butterfly panels open symmetrically.
  • Connect the mechanical pull system or actuator according to the selected control configuration.
  • Adjust the opening angle during commissioning to achieve suitable air throw along the ceiling.
  • Verify that incoming cold air does not fall directly onto resting animals.
  • Check springs, cables, pulleys, hinges and linkage components regularly.
  • Remove dust and accumulated contamination from the inlet panels and housing.
  • Inspect sealing surfaces and replace damaged sealing components when required.
  • Recalibrate automatic opening positions after changes to exhaust-fan stages or ventilation settings.
Product FAQ

Q: Where is the spring-loaded air inlet installed?
A: This configuration is designed for installation in the ceiling of pig houses and other enclosed livestock buildings.

Q: How does the butterfly structure work?
A: The two inlet panels open toward opposite sides, increasing the effective opening area and distributing fresh air in both directions.

Q: What is the maximum listed airflow?
A: The product page lists a maximum airflow of approximately 3600 m³/h at 20 Pa static pressure.

Q: Can it be operated manually?
A: Yes. The inlet supports manual and automatic integrated control.

Q: Can it be connected to an environmental controller?
A: Yes. The listed configuration supports automatic opening control using an AC810 environmental controller.

Q: Why is ceiling air distribution useful in winter?
A: It helps incoming cold air travel along the ceiling and mix with warmer indoor air before entering the animal zone, reducing direct drafts.

Q: How many air inlets are required?
A: Quantity depends on total exhaust capacity, operating static pressure, house dimensions, stocking density and required minimum ventilation.

Q: Can the size and control configuration be customized?
A: Yes. Inlet dimensions, linkage system and automatic-control configuration can be selected according to the livestock-house ventilation project.
