Aluminum Frame Evaporative Cooling Pad System

Product Showcase Content
Product Name ALUMINUM FRAME EVAPORATIVE COOLING PAD SYSTEM
Product Image Aluminum Frame Evaporative Cooling Pad System
Product Overview The Aluminum Frame Evaporative Cooling Pad System is designed for summer cooling and fresh-air intake in pig houses, poultry houses, cattle barns and other livestock buildings.

The system combines 150 mm thick cellulose cooling pads with anodized aluminum side frames and water troughs. When used together with negative-pressure exhaust fans, it provides a simple and energy-efficient method of reducing incoming air temperature in hot weather.
Product Gallery Aluminum cooling-pad frame, 150 mm cellulose evaporative pad, upper water distribution pipe, return-water pipe, aluminum water trough, filtration system and optional stainless steel rodent guard.
Key Features
  • 150 mm Cooling Pad: Thick cellulose media provides a large evaporation surface for livestock-house cooling.
  • 600 mm Modular Pad Width: Individual pad sections simplify installation, replacement and project sizing.
  • Virgin-Pulp Cellulose Media: Cooling pads are manufactured from treated cellulose paper for stable water absorption.
  • Hardened Pad Sheets: Individual sheets receive curing treatment to improve structural stability.
  • Anodized Aluminum Frame: Aluminum side profiles and water troughs provide corrosion resistance and a clean installation.
  • Uniform Water Distribution: Proper water supply and frame design help maintain even wetting across the cooling surface.
  • PVC Water Circuit: Standard PVC supply and return pipes support reliable water circulation.
  • 40-Mesh Filtration: Integrated filtration helps reduce dirt entering the water-distribution system.
  • Optional Rodent Protection: Double-sided 304 stainless steel rodent mesh can be supplied for farm applications.
  • Flexible Installation: Suitable for recessed or external wall-mounted installation according to building design.
Working Principle Water is circulated to the upper distribution pipe and flows evenly across the cellulose cooling pad. Excess water is collected in the lower trough and returned to the circulation system.

When exhaust fans create negative pressure inside the livestock house, hot outdoor air is drawn through the wetted pad. Part of the water evaporates and absorbs heat from the incoming air, reducing its dry-bulb temperature before the cooled air enters the animal area.

Installation & Maintenance
  • Calculate the required cooling-pad area according to total exhaust airflow and project ventilation design.
  • Install the aluminum frame level and seal the perimeter to prevent uncontrolled air bypass.
  • Ensure the upper water-distribution pipe wets the full pad surface evenly.
  • Check the lower water trough and return-water path for unrestricted drainage.
  • Clean the 40-mesh filter regularly to maintain stable circulation flow.
  • Use clean water and monitor mineral content to reduce scale formation on the cooling media.
  • Remove algae, dust and accumulated deposits according to farm maintenance procedures.
  • Do not use excessive water pressure when washing cellulose pads.
  • Allow the pads to dry periodically when operating conditions permit.
  • Inspect aluminum profiles, water pipes, pump components and optional rodent mesh regularly.
Product FAQ

Q: What is the cooling pad thickness?
A: The listed cellulose cooling pad thickness is 150 mm.

Q: What is the width of each cooling pad section?
A: Each listed pad section is approximately 600 mm wide.

Q: What material is the frame made from?
A: The side frame and water trough are made from anodized aluminum alloy.

Q: How does the cooling system reduce air temperature?
A: Hot outside air passes through the wetted cellulose media, where water evaporation absorbs heat from the air before it enters the livestock house.

Q: Can it be used with negative-pressure exhaust fans?
A: Yes. The system is typically installed opposite exhaust fans in negative-pressure or tunnel ventilation systems.

Q: Is a water filter included in the system?
A: The listed configuration includes a 40-mesh filter with an ABS housing and 304 stainless steel filter screen.

Q: Is rodent protection available?
A: Yes. Double-sided 304 stainless steel rodent mesh is available as an optional configuration.

Q: Can the cooling-pad dimensions be customized?
A: Yes. Overall frame dimensions and pad-wall layout can be designed according to the livestock-house opening and required ventilation capacity.
